    IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I GRIFFIN ROBERTS of Essex County being sick and weake of body but in perfect minde & memory thanks be to Almighty God, do make my last Will & Testament in manner & forme as followeth: returneing my soule into ye hands of Almighty God who gave it in sure & certain hopes of ye Resurrection of my Body to be reunited to my Soule to Salvation in & through ye merrits of my dear Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ & my body to be Christianlike buried at ye discretion of my Executrs: hereafter appointed
    Imprs. After my debts paid, I give & bequeath my worldly goods both personal & real! as is hereafter mentioned.
    I give to my Daughter, TABYTHA, two of my largest Pewter Dishes.
    I give to my dear Wife & my Daughter, ANN, three Pewter Dishes.
    I give to my Wife, my Daughter TABITHA, & my Daughter, ANN, ten chaires to be divided between them, my Daughter, TABITHA, to have four of them; I appoint a Steer of seven years old &a young Horse of four years old & a Mare of five years old, to be sold for ye payment of my Land
    I also appoint my dear Wife my old Mare to her and her heirs for ever; & I give ye fold of ye first bringing of ye old Mare to my Daughter, ANN, be it Mare or Horse, for her & her heirs for ever.
    I give to my Daughter, TABYTHA, ye one halfe of my land & her heirs forever & I give ye other halfe of my land between my dear Wife & my Daughter, ANNE, And at ye decease of my sd Wife, all this land to my Daughter, ANN, and her heirs for ever.
    I give to my Daughter, ALICE, a pr. of Andirons and a Spitt. I give my dear Wife all the rest of my goods & chattells, she paying my debts, & appoint and nominate my loveing Wife, ANN ROBERTS, and Capt. EDWARD THOMAS, my Executors of this my Will as Witness my hand & seale this tenth day of December 1694
