To wife Anne Ireland, dwelling plantation, 124 a., 23 a. I purchased from Joseph Alvey, 83 a. , I bought from Mr. Carbery, 17 a., I bought from Marl. Bailey.
After her death I give my dwelling plantation and land I bought from Joseph Alvey to my second son William Herbert Ireland and the 83 a. I bought from Mr. Carbery and the 17 a. I bought from Mark Brewer [note above written as Marl. Bailey] give after my wife's death to son Gilbert Ireland. I also give to son Gilbert Ireland 50 a. which lies on this side the road that leads from James Paine to Thomas Greves which is pt. of same land I bought from Mr. Carbery and also pt. of same I bought from said Thos. Greaves which land I give to said Gilbert.
I give to my eldest dau. Anne Ireland my plantation lying near to Walter Davis's called "Charing Cross" or "Swillenham."
To youngest dau. Mary Ireland, plantation I bought from Evan Evans.
To eldest son John Ireland, all the rest of my lands.
To wife Anne Ireland 2/5 pt of my person estate and the remainder to my 5 children.
Wife extx. and in case of her death during the minority of my children then Philip Key to be ex.
Wit: William McWilliams, Jesses Craig, John Hills.
That I be buried in Chaptico Church Yard at the distance of about 3 feet from the feet of my late good friend Mr. Jas. Dickson, that a cheap black marble stone may be sent for from Philadelphia. 29. 386

A Negro girl named Minta, the property of Catharine Winter, removed from VA and was brought to CC on Dec 28, 1795 for the purpose of employing & working her, and not for sale. Sd slave was acquired by sd Catharine Winter in course of distribution of the estate of Ann Moxley of CC decd, and which slave was a resident of VA before Apr 21, 1783. Signed Jan 9, 1796 - Saml W Middleton, Agent for Catharine Winter. Recorded Jan 9, 1796.
