(missing) for a valluable consideration in hand paid (missing) same County makeover & have by these presents sold unto the sd JAMES MERRIOT his heirs missing) hundred fifty four acres one rod &Eigh(missing) Ever the sd land beginning at a White Oak (missing) the South side of RAPPA. RIVER & running (missing) branch & along the said Marsh side (missing) again ENE to marked white Oak (missing to a tract of land belonging to me the aforesd ANDREW GILSON (missing) marked Spanish Oak & by sd Land E by (missing) & thence by a line of marked trees finally I0 (missing) it first began to have and hold the said Land (missing) a Pattent dated the 18th 9ber 1663 to him the aforesd JAMES MERRIOT his heirs & assignes for ever the sd JAMES MERRIOT his heirs henceforth paying unto our Sovrn. the Rents thereunto belonging & I the sd ANDREW GILSON oblige my heirs that he the abovesd JAMES MERRIT his heirs shall from henceforth enjoy the said premises without denial! of me my heir or assignes Sealed with my seal this 3d day of Feb. in the Fifteenth year of the Reign of KING CHARLES the Second & in the year of or.       KNOW ALL MEN that I JAMES MERRIOTT of the County of (missing) firmly bound unto Mr.ANDREW GILSON in the sum of Seaventeen hundred pounds of good Tobo & cask to be paid to the sd ANDREW GILSON (missing) at my own plantacon & off my own Crop on the tenth day of October ensuing day of date hereof the which paymt. truly to be made I bind me my heirs & admrs. & for the further performance (missing) I the abovesd JAMES MERRIOTT for me my heirs do sell and make over unto ANDREW GILSON his heirs & assignes a tract of land containing (missing) hundred acres one rod & eight poles which I the sd JAMES MERRIOTT (missing) of ANDREW GILSON with all rights belonging. In Witness whereof I the sd JAMES MERRIOTT have sett, my hand & seal this first day Feb 1663
      The Condition of the above obligation is that if JAMES MERRIOTT his heirs or assignes shall truly pay unto ANDREW GILSON the sum of Tobacco & cask at or before the tenth day of October next ensuing date hereof then this obligacon to be void otherwise to be & remaine in full power

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I DAVID FAULKNER of the County of Rappa. Planter for divers good causes and consideracons me thereunto mooving as likewise for and in consideracon of a like quantity of Land Relinquished and sold by JAMES MERRYATT to me the sd David Faulkner my heires as more at large will appeare by a wrighting under the sd Merryatts hand bearing date wth these presents doe bargaine and sell in as full & ample manner to all intents and purposes as may be lawfully devized advised and required to the sd James Merryott his heires assignes for Ever Vizt. one moyety of the land whereon the sd Merryott now liveth belongeth to me according as it was divided by RALPH WARRINER, ED: WEST, JOHN NOBLE for the one parcell by agreemt: of us the sd James Merryott and David Faulkner and one moyety of the other parcell whereon he now liveth according as it was divided viii the Consent of us the sd Merryott & Faulkner in the presents of several! of the Neighbours by Mr. WM.. MOSELY that is to say that parte of the land devided by Ralph Warriner it being next unto MR, BOOTH & of the land divided by Mr. Mosely that parte being next to the land of JNO. WALKER To Have and to Hold to the sd Merryott his heires and I the said David Faulkner doe further bind myselfe my heires to make the sd James Merryott his heires further assurance when thereunto lawfully called & to accknowledge this my act and deed in Court the sd Merryott Yeelding and paying quitrents & all other Dutys & Taxes lawfully imposed on the sd land dated the 10th Janry 1667,

      THIS INDENTURE made ye tenth day of February 1695 Between JAMES MERRIOTT of Essex County, Planter, of ye one part and FRA: MERIWETHER of the same County of ye other part; Witnesseth that ye said JAMES MERRIOTT for Three thousand pounds of tobacco & caske & two thousand eight pounds penny Nailes to him in hand well paid and two Servants secured to be paid at & before ye ensealing & delivery hereof by the said FRANCIS MERIWETHER, ye said JAMES MERRIOTT hath granted unto ye said FRANCIS MERIWETHER his heirs and assignes forever all that plantacon & tract of land whereon the said JAMES MERRIOTT now lives containing One hundred and fifty four acres, one rood & eight poles according to ye Sale thereof (acknowledged & recorded amongst the Records of RAPPA: County) from Mr. ANDREW GILSON to JAMES MERRIOTT deced., Father to ye said JAMES MERRIOTT, bearing date ye third day of Febry. 1662, be the same more or less and also all that plantacon & parcell of land whereon the deced MERRIOTT lived and whereof he dyed possest and now in ye occupacon of ELENOR MERRIOTT, his Widow, by vertue and in right of her Thirds, both which plantacons & parcells of land are scituate in said County of Essex adjacent to each other and lawfully come & descended unto ye said JAMES MERRIOTT (as Sonne and heir apparent of the said deced JAMES MERRIOTT), and all & singular other ye premisses with their appurtenances and all Orchards gardens & hereditaments and all Title whatsoever wch: he ye said JAMES MERRIOTT now or which he his heirs or any other person for his use may have, to the only use & behoof of the said FRANCIS MERIWETHER his heirs and assignes forever without the lawfull trouble of ye said JAMES MERRIOTT his heirs or assignes or any other persons claiming under him; And that the said JAMES MERRIOTT will at any time hereafter at ye reasonable request & costs & charges in the Law of the said FRANCIS MERIWETHER his heirs make & execute further & more absolute conveying & assureing before mentioned lands as by him his Council learned in ye Law shall be reasonably devised and required; In Witness whereof the said JAMES MERRIOTT hath hereunto set his hand and seale ye day & year first above written Signed sealed & delivered in presence of us
