      At the request of Joseph Turner the following Deed was recorded April 20, 1807
      Indenture made December 17, 1806; between William Stephen Compton of Washington County, Maryland of the one part and Joseph Turner of St. Mary's County, Maryland of the other part. Whereas William Stephen Compton was formerly seized and possessed of parts of two tracts lying in CC and partially in St. Mary's County, Maryland one called "Boden" and the other called "Boswell" which became the right title and property in fee simple of Joseph Turner by virtue of a conveyance from Francis Hammersley from James Scott and from the said William Stephen Compton and in virtue thereof the said Joseph Turner is now in possession and William Stephen Compton and Joseph Turner being desirous and having agreed to affirm the right of the said Joseph Turner and to avoid all disputes and it also being the voluntary desire of Chloe wife of William Stephen Compton to release her right of dower in the said 2 tracts of land. Now this indenture witnesseth that William Stephen Compton in consideration of 5 shillings paid by Joseph Turner and also for other good considerations does convey unto the said Joseph Turner all those 2 pieces of land aforesaid.       State of Maryland, Washington County Sct. December 17, 1806; William S Compton and acknowledged the aforesaid deed and at the same time Chloe Compton wife of William Stephen Compton relinquished her right of dower before Samuel Ringgold and John Langley, Justice of the peace for Washington County, Maryland and certified by O.H. Williams clerk of Washington County on December 29, 1806
