THIS INDENTURE made the Twenty Eight day of September in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty Between THOMAS JAMESON and JUDITH BALL his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and RICHARD (WAUGH left out)of the aforesaid County of other part Witnesseth that THOMAS JAMESON and JUDITH BALL his Wife for sum of Four thousand pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by these presents do bargain and sell unto RICHARD WAUGH his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of land lying in County of Culpeper containing by Estimation Two hundred and thirty six acres be the same more or less and bounded Begining at two Gums on the RAPPIDANNE RIVER thence up the RIVER the several Courses to a red and white Oak corner to JOHN GORE, thence No. 28 V 175 poles to a live Oak and Mulbery in said GOREs line on the COWSLIP RUN, thence with said GOREs line across the RUN a straight course to a Box Oak corner to said WAUGH, thence with said WAUGHs line N. 73 East 205 poles to an Ash on said Run, thence up said Run to a forked or Double Maple, thence N. 72 East 29 poles to a white Oak in JOHN WHORTONs line, thence with said WHORTONs line South 53 East 45 poles to a white Oak saplin in WHARTONs line, thence South 42 W. 62 poles to an old Stump thence with another of WHARTONs lines S. 32 E. 128 poles to the begining togather with all houses gardens fences waters and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said land with appurtenances unto RICHARD WAUGH his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all former Incumbrances whatsoever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands & seals the day and year first above written in the presence of us
