      George the Third to ROWLAND THOMAS & WILLIAM MOORE Gent Whereas Catlett Conway and Susanna his Wife of County of Orange have sold unto George Anderson land in County of Culpeper and Whereas said Susanna cannot conveniently travel to our County Court to make acknowledgement of the same we do therefore give you power to receive the acknowledgement which the said Susanna shall be willing to make and when you have received her acknowledgement that you Certifie us thereof Witness JOHN JAMESON Clerk of our Court at the Courthouse the 19 day of June in the Fifteenth year of our Reign.
      By virtue of the said Commition here annexed We the Subscribers did on the 5th day of July 1775 go to the within named Susannah Conway and having examined her privily from her husband Catlett Conway do certify that he declared that it was without the persuaions or threats of her said husband she freely acknowledged the conveyance and that she was willing the same should be recorded in the County Court of Culpeper the
