Dec 22, 1748 from Benjamin Tasker of Annapolis, Esq, Agent and Receiver General for the Proprietary of Maryland, with the approval of Samuel Ogle, Governor of Maryland, to George Maxwell, merchant in CC, the lease of a parcel of land in CC in his Lordship's Manner of Calverton, between the lands of Capt Charles Sommerset Smith, John Anderson, & Avis Cave on swansons Cr. Said land was formerly held by Cornelius Norton, deceased, for about 102 acres, as per certificate of lease formerly held by sd Cornelius Norton, deceased, may more fully appear. This lease is for the natural life of George Maxwell and during the natural life of James Wardrop, merchant in Prince Georges County, and for the natural life of Lettice Wardrop, wife to the said James Wardrop. The yearly rent is 10 shillings sterling money of GB. Maxwell may assign the land [with the permission] of the

Indenture made April 10, 1756; James Wardrop, merchant in consideration of 50 pounds current money paid by Alexander Campbell, planter, has sold a tract called "Littleworth" being part of a tract called "Londee" and containing 25 acres; also another tract called "Cabidge"being part of "Londee" containing 26 acres beginning in the line of a tract of land now in the possession of Edward Holmes standing on the west side of the main road that leads from Marlborough town and on the south side and near the head of a small branch that runs into Collington. Further the said James Wardrop does covenant and agree to and with Alexander Campbell that he will warrant and defend the aforesaid land and premises against Alexander Fraser, attorney of PGCo, his heirs and assigns or any person claiming from or under him. Between Robert Bull late of the Town of Leith near the City of Edinburgh in North Britain but now in Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Heir at law of James Wardrop late of the County & Province aforesaid Merchant Deceas'd being the only Son of his Only Sister of the one Part & Adam Thomson of Prince Georges County in the Said Province Physician of the other Part Whereas the Said James Wardrop Was in his life Time Seized in fee of aud in all that Tract or parcell of Land situate lying and adjoining to The Town of Upper Marlboro in Prince Georges County aforesaid Bounded as followeth (For land description see deed) Containing & Laid out for Twenty Acres Together with the Dwelling House Kitchens Smoke House Mill House Hen House Rabbit House Wash House Counting House & all of the other part Witnesseth that the said Lettice Thomson for and in Consideration of the Sum of three hundred and forty two pounds Seventeen Shillings and two pence Sterling Money to her now in hand of June next Ensuing the date hereof and after giving three weeks Notice thereof in the Maryland Gazette enter into the said undivided moiety of the tract or parcell of Land aforesaid and set up and expose the same and Premisses with the Appurtenances to the best and highest bidder in Sterling money and the said undivided moiety of the said tract or parcell of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof so set up and expose to sale effectually to convey and make over (and the said Lettice Thomson doth hereby authorize constitute and impower the said John Lee his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for her and in her Name to Release convey and make over the said undivided moiety of the said tract or parcell of Land and every part and parcell thereof and Premisses with the Appurtenances to the respective purchaser or purchasers thereof and the Monies arising from such sale to demand recover and receive of and from the respective purchaser or purchasers as aforesaid and Apply the said monies arising from such Sale to the Payment of the necessary Charges and expences of Such Sale and to the payment and discharge of the aforesaid sum of three hundred and forty two pounds seventeen Shillings and two pence sterling money and legal Interest thereon and the Charges of drawing and recording this Deed And that she the said Lettice Thomson her heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns shall and will upon request of such purchaser or purchasers as aforesaid make execute suffer and give to such purchaser or purchasers their heirs and Assigns good firm and Sufficient release or other effectual writing as Shall be required of and for the said undivided moiety of the tract or parcell of Land aforesaid
so bought at Vendue by such purchaser or purchasers as aforesaid and that in Case the monies arising by such Sale as aforesaid Shall not be sufficient for the Several payments aforesaid that then she the said Lettice Tomson her heirs Executors or Administrators shall and will pay to him the said John Lee his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns
such part thereof as shall be deficient and unpaid or satisfied And the said john Lee for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Lettice Thomson her heirs Execrators and Administrators that in case there shall be any surplus after the Application of the monies arising by such sale as aforesaid to the several payments aforesaid that then he the said John Lee his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and will pay Such surplus to the said Lettice Thomson her heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns with lawfull Interest thereon In Witness whereof the said Lettice Thomson hath hereunto set her hand and Affixed her Seal the day and Year first above written

This Indenture made the ninth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and seventy two Between John Lee of Essex County in the Colony of Virginia and
Susanna his Wife and George Lee of Charles County in the Province of Maryland and Chloe his Wife
of the one Part and Lettice Thompson of Prince George County in the Province aforesaid of the other Part
Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty Pounds to the said John lee and the Sum
of one hundred Pounds Inspection Currency of the Province aforesaid to the said George Lee to them and
each of hem respectively paid by the said Lettice Thomson at or before the Ensealing and Delivery
of these Presents the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and Parcel
thereof do exonerate, acquit, and discharge the said Lettice Thompson her Heirs Executors and Administrators
and every of them by these Presents have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed,
and confirmed, and by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said
Lettice Thomson Six hundred Acres of Land with the Appurtenances, scituate, lying and being in
Dorchester County in the Province aforesaid devised to the said John Lee and George Lee by the Will
of their Father Philip Lee Esq.r deceased out of a larger Tract of Land commonly called and
by the Name of Rehoboth on the North West Fork of Nanticoke as by the said Will recorded in the
Commissary's Office may now fully appear and which Land the said John and George Lee by a
former Deed bearing Date the Day of conveyed to the said Lettice Thomson
but which was omitted to be registered according to the Directions of the Law in such Cases provided
And the Reversion and Reversions remainder and Remainders of all and singular the said six
hundred Acres of Land and Premisses hereby granted, and every Part and Parcel thereof And also
all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and Demand whatsoever both in Law and Equity
of them the said John Lee and Susanna his Wife, and George Lee and Chloe his Wife or either of them
of in, to, or out of the said Land Premisses and every part and Parcel thereof To have and to hold
the said Six hundred Acres of Land and all other the Premisses hereby granted, bargained or sold
or mentioned or intended so to be with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Lettice
Thomson her Heirs and Assigns ^To the only proper Use and Behoof of her the said Lettice Thomson her Heirs and Assigns^ forever And the said John Lee and George Lee do for themselves and
their Heirs hereby grant that they and their Heirs the Land and Premises afores.d and all and singular

seven hundred seventy ^and^ two Between Lettice Thomson of Prince Georges County in the Province of
Maryland Widow of the one Part and John Waters of Calvert County in the Province aforesaid Gentleman
of the other Part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of six hundred Pounds
common circulating Money of Maryland to the said Lettice Thomson paid by the said John Waters
at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these Presence the Receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge
and thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof doth exonerate acquit and discharge the said
John Waters his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these Presents
hath granted bargained sold, aliened, enfeoffed, and confirmed, and by these Presents doth
grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said John Waters his Heirs and Assigns
all those Tracts or Parcells of Land with the Appurtenances being Part of a larger Tract of Land

to Corbin Lee, John Lee, and George Lee by Philip Lee Esq.r deceased and which were conveyed to the
said Lettice Thomson by the said Corbin Lee, John Lee, and George Lee by several Indentures
duly executed and recorded according to Law Containing eight hundred Acres of Land more
or less and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders of all and
singular the said eight hundred Acres of Land and premises hereby granted and every
Part and parcel thereof and also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim and
Demand whatsoever both in Law and Equity of her the said Lettice Thomson of, into, or out
of the said Land and Premisses and every Part and Parcel thereof To have and to
hold the said eight hundred Acres of Land and all other the Premisses hereby granted, bargained,
or sold, or mentioned, or intended so to be with their and every of their Appurtenances

James Higgins recorded deed and record of indemnification from John Lee of Essex County, Virginia, son of Corbin Lee, late of Baltimore County, deceased, and Joseph Sim of Prince George County and Lettice, his wife, formerly Lettice Lee, sister of Hancock Lee, deceased, also the widow of James Wardrope, deceased, and widow of Adam Thomson, deceased of one part. Whereas the said Corbin Lee and Lettice in the lifetime of said Corbin, while the said Lettice was the widow of the said Adam Thomson, being seized in fee as tenants in common of tract called Addition, for 350 acres, sold to James Higgins for £612..10, and James Higgins paid Corbin Lee £243..2..3 in part of his share and to the said Lettice, before her marriage to Joseph Sim, £306..5, there is now due to John Lee, heir of Corbin, £40..6..8, now for the said sums, deed is made beginning at Rock Creek Branch, near a bound tree of land formerly surveyed by Thomas Butler, to given line of tract called Dann, metes and bounds given containing 363 1/4 acres.
