Indenture made June 10, 1811; William H. Winter of Prince William County, Virginia in consideration of $6700 current money of United States paid by Richard H. Winter has sold 2 tracts known by the names of "Effton's Hills" and "Addition to Perry's Last Chance" lying in Durham Parish. "Efton's Hills" standing near the head of Burdett's Creek and a boundary of "Virlinda" and laid out for 651 acres and 2 rods; "Addition to Perry's Last Chance" binding on Effton's Hills", "Britt's Adventure","Virlinda" and Hudson's Exchange and containing 420 acres 2 rods {page missing}.
