To George Conway, son of Thomas Conway, dec'd-my land joining the land of Leroy Pullin, negro woman Dinah and her three children (Emanuel, Huldey, and a small girl not named), negro man Jesse, but if he should depart this life before the age of twenty one years, I then give the five negroes and their increase to Chloe Conway, and Betsy Conway, daughters of Thomas Conway dec'd, and to Rodham Pritchett, and Alcey Pritchett, son and daughter of Rodham Pritchett, to be equally divided among them.
I lend to John Christopher Senr.-my negro man Dick, for two years, then I give the said negro Dick, to John Christopher Junr. John Christopher Junr.-my bed and furniture, my pewter, looking glass, and books, and what little remains of my household and kitchen furniture, and all the balance of cash or tobacco due me after my funeral expenses are paid, also the cash due me from his father John Christopher Senr., for the hire of my negroes.
John Christopher Junr.-to sell my young horse, and the money to be laid out in clothing for George Conway.
John Christopher Junr. of the above parish-guardian to the estate bequeathed to George Conway.
John Christopher Senr., Leroy Pullin, and Thomas Walker, executors.
Witness: William Dawson, Matthew Bussell, and Hannah Bussell.
Will Contested by John Gordon gent., in behalf of his ward Nancy Conway, and on 12 September 1785 will was proved good, and ordered to be recorded.

If my father should die before me and be buried at "Coan", then I shall be interred near him and a tombstone put over me, and if he survives me, I desire that he may take my gold sleave buttons, and such of my cloaths that will suit him.
Each of my unmarried sisters should have as genteel a mourning ring as can be got.
Sister Janete Brown-should have my diamond ring, and if she does not want it, to take it for her daughter Anny.
Brother George Thomas McAdam-my silver mounted pistols, and steel mounted gun.
After my father has taken such of my cloathes as he may want, then Tommy and Charles McAdam may divide the balance between them, Tommy taking the best.
My land in Cantuckey (Kentucky), and my other property, and the debts that are due me, to pay off all my just debts. The land that my father gave me that he purchased of Capt. John Foushee, to only be sold if the above will not pay my debts.
My earthen and glass ware shall be kept by my father or mother, and at their death what may remain of it shall be Chariots.
Rest of my estate of what nature soever to my sister Charlotte McAdams.

Wife Sarah Ann-a chair and two chair horses, all my china ware, and her choice of bed and furniture besides her dower.
Son George Thomas, and daughters Martha, and Charlotte McAdam-one young grown negro, and one bed and furniture to each of them, as to make their proportions equal to that I have given my married daughters, vizt: Sarah C. Conway, Janette Brown, and Ann Keene. Son George Thomas McAdam-all my lands and houses in Wiccocomoco and Saint Stephens Parish.
My executors to inclose the grave yard at my dwelling house on the head of "Coan River," Northumberland County, where my two dear sons John and Charles lie, with a sufficient brick wall at the expense of my son George Thomas. A marked tomb stone to be put over my grave in a genteel manner.
Each of my daughters, vizt: Sarah Conway, Janette Brown, Ann Keene, Martha, and Charlotte McAdam-a mourning ring apiece.
Grandaughters Ann, and Janette Opie, if they survive me-a young negro girl about their age, on condition that their father Lindsey Opie, shall give to my grandson Leroy Opie, a young negro man or woman of the value of eighty pounds specie in the room of Agga, a negro woman slave I lent to my daughter Elizabeth, deceased wife to Lindsey Opie, which Lindsey Opie sold for eighty pounds.
Rest of my estate both real and personal, to be divided equally between my children or their heirs, vizt:-Sarah C. Conway, Janette Brown, Ann Keene, Martha, Charlotte, and George Thomas McAdam.
Wife shall not be molested or disturbed in possession of my dwelling house during her natural life, and at her death her dower to be equally divided between my surviving children and their heirs.
