1665-7, ae 26. (II) 'Frances Wormeley, wife of Colo. Christopher W.,
d. May 25, 1685, and was buried at home in the garden next day.'

ANTH: ELLYOTT (deced.), Administracon accordinge to Acte together vth: a Probate of ye saide Estate is granted unto Mr. XPOFER WORMELEY & (blank) his Wife, the late Widd: & Relict of ye sde. ANTH:, they giveing security accordinge to Acte & alsoe keepeing themselves to the true sense of the sde, Will in the administracon of the sde. Estate. Capt. CUTH: POTTER, Mr. JO: CURTYS & Mr. WILL: LEECH are ordered to apprize & devide the sde. Estate accordinge to the tenor of ye Will, beinge sworne in Cort. THIS INDENTURE made the second day of November in the yeare of our Lord God 1686 and in the second yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord James the second &c. Between CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY of the Parish of Christ Church and County of MIDDLESEX Esqr. of the one part and MAXIMILLIAN ROBINSON of the Parish of Ware in the County of GLOUCESTER of the other part Witnesseth that the sd CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY for the sum of Onc hundred and Sixty five pounds of good and lawfull money of England to him paid hath given unto the sd MAXIMILLIAN ROBINSON his heires forever all that tract of land and the Plantation thereon seated and made with all woods and woodland all which land are scituated in the County of Rappa: and now or late in the tenure and possession of CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY as tenant or under servants and which was formerly the lands and Plantation of THO: HOPKINS granted to
him by Pattent dated 16th day of September 1654, and after that the sd lands and Plantation being found to escheat to our Sovereigne Lord the King and then granted to THO: HOPKINS HONE Gent his heires and assignes and by him the sd HONE assigned and made over unto JUSTINIAN AYLMER his heires and assignes and by his last Will and Testament given and granted to FRANCES his Wife (with whom the said CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY since intermarried) and her heires forever all which said lands and Plantation conteyne Fourteen hundred and sixty acres of land together with all houses gardens ways and hereditaments belonging and all the title and interest the sd CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY now hath and all papers touching the premisses To have and to hold the before granted premisses to the sd MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON his heires and shall be lawful! for the said MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON his heires to hold all the before mentioned lands with the appertinances without the hindrance of sd CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY or any other persons and lastly the sd CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY do promise will at the reasonable cost and charges in the Law of MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON make such other Deeds in the Law for the better and more sure making of the before granted lands as by the sd MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON his heires or their Councell learned shall be reasonably required. In Witness whereof the sd CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY to these presents (conteyned in two sheets of paper) his hand and seale hath put

To Mr. ARTHUR SPICER or any other Attorney in Rappa: County, I do hereby impower you to appeare for me at the County Court on my behalfe to make acknowledgemt. of a Deed of Bargaine and Sale for Fourteen hundred and sixty acres of land in the County of Rappa: by me this day sold to MAXIMILIAN ROBINSON and yor: acknowledgement of the sd Deed or what else you shall lawfully doe in the premisses I will confirm and hold good As Witness my hand and seale this 2 day of December 1686

BLOMFIELD, Gent,, my true and lawfull Attorney for me the acknowledgement of a conveyance for fourteen hundred and sixty acres of land in Rappa. County from CHRISTOPHER WORMLEY Esqr. or any other person lawfully deputed by him and what my sd Attorney shall lawfully do I will confirm and hold good Witness my hand and seale this 7th day of December 1686
