      In the name of God amen I Monica Greenwell of St. Marys County being sick, and weak of body but of sound and perfect sense and memory, thanks be to almighty God do make and orgain this my last will and testament, first I bequeath my soul to God and my body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named, and as to my worldy Estate I give as follows Viz, Item I give and bequeath unto Elenor Medly Daughter of Joseph Medley, my half part of a negro wench called Rachel, and her increase, agreeable to my Aunt Monica Ford's will, after the death of my aunt Frances Williams to her and her heirs forever -- Item I give and bequeath unto my aunt Jane Manning, all my part of my father's Estate now in possession of Robert Cole, to her and her heirs forever -- Item I give and bequeath unto the above named Elenor Medley one whole suit of my Clothes at her choice to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give unto my beloved Sister, Anastatia Medley one Stript Cotto!
      n gown, and one pair of [cannot read word] shoes, and one pare of wasted Stockings, and my Cloak to her and her heirs forever -- Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Greenwell Daughter to George Greenwell one Stampt Cotton gown to her and her heirs forever -- Item I give and bequeath unto Elisabeth Greenwell my best Living (? or Lining?) apron and my best lining (?) Cap to her and her heirs forever -- Item I give and bequeath unto my Aunt Jean Manning my Bed and furniture and all the rest of my Estate that is not given before to be disposed of at her discretion, to her and her heirs forever -- Item and lastly I do appoint my loving aunt Jean Manning my whole and sole Executrix, of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord 1768.

      Jane Manning as Executrix of Monica Greenwell late deceased solemnly made oath on the Holy Evangels that the within and foregoing is the only true last will and Testament of Monica Greenwell late deceased that has come to her hands possession or knowledge. Sworn before Owen Allen [cannot read last name]

      Saint Marys County, To Wit - 1 (?) April 1768, There came Frances Williams and William Williams, two of the subscribing Evidencies (?) to this within and foregoing last will and Testament of Monica Greenwell late of the County aforesaid deceased, and severally made Oath on the Holy evangels, of Almighty God that they did see Monica Greenwell, the Testatrix therein named, sign, and seal this will and heard her publicly and (cannnot read word) the same to be her last will and Testament, and that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of perfect sense and of sound disposing mind, memory, and understanding, and that the said Frances Williams subscribed her mark and the said Williams subscribed his name, as witnesses thereto, in the presence and at the request of the aforesaid Testatrix and that they did see each other together with Rebecca Greenwell, the other subscribing witness, subscribe thereto as evidence as aforesaid.
