I have returned a division of Wm. Perkine Estate according to your order the reason that the Widow had not so much as the rest is because they all agreed to let her full share of the cattle so that she ought not to have any share of the bedding or the cattle that is appraised, Your Honble Servt.

Page 122-123 Articles of Agreement made 27th September 1700 between WILLIAM PERKINS & MARGARET CARE of Stafford County .. Witnesseth William Perkins hath bound himself to deliver or hath delivered unto ye sd Margaret the children MARY, JOHN & SARAH CARE each of them a cow to be delivered when they come to age or marryed as also to Mary Care a feather bed & a iron pot and a chest to be delivered to her at the time aforementioned whence I bind myself in penal bond of 20,000 pounds of good sound merchantable leaf Tobo. in cask to he paid upon demand ..

This obligation is such that if bounded William Perkins shall not deliver to the aforesaid children the cattle that are above mentioned then this to be of full force power and virtue otharways to be void as witness 11th 1701/2.
