THIS INDENTURE made the 27th day of July in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Between WILLIAM FITZHUGH and ANN his Wife of Parish of Brunswick and County of STAFFORD of one part and WILLIAM HOOE of Parish of Saint Paul and County of King George of other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM FITZHUGH for sum of One thousand and twenty five pounds, three shillings current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by WILLIAM HOOE, doth by these presents bargain and sell unto WILLIAM HOOE and his heirs a certain tract of land lying in Parish of Saint Paul and County of King George containing Two hundred and three acres and is bounded, Beginning at a Stump in the line of CLIFTONs Land, and corner to this Land and the Land of WILLIAMSONs, extending thence in the line of CLIFTON S. 40d. 160 poles to a small branch, thence down the meanders of the branch to the mouth thereof, thence down the dam N. 6d. W. 30 poles to the mouth of another small Branch, thence up the meanders of said Branch to the head thereof, thence N. 79d. W. 106 poles to a Stake in a Corn Field, thence N. 20d. W. 10 pole to another Stake, thence N. 5d. W. 12 pole to a place near the Road where formerly stood a Crooked Hiccory, corner to this Land, PRATTs Land, WILLIAMSONs Land and a small tract of land sold and conveyed to GEORGE MIFLIN by Deed bearing date with these presents from said FITZHUGH, thence binding on said WILLIAMSONs Land S. W. 94 poles to the begining; Together with all houses and appurtenances to the same belonging; To have and to hold the land and premises unto WILLIAM HOOE his heirs; And WILLIAM FITZHUGH and his heirs the land and premises unto WILLIAM HOOE his heirs from the claim and demand of every person shall warrant and forever defend by these presents; In Witness whereof the said WILLIAM FITZHUGH and ANN his Wife hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written
