Aug 14, 1724 from John Marten of CC, gent, to Peter Wood of St Mary's County, carpenter, for 10,000 lbs of tobacco, all that parcel of land, being part of a tract of land called LYONS DENN, lying in CC on the west side of Zachia Swamp, originally taken up by Daniel Johnson, containing about 140 acres. Signed - Jno Marten. Wit - Walter Story*, Jno Briscoe*. This deed was acknowledged by John Marten & Elizabeth, his wife. === Charles County Land Record Book A#2, 1752-1756; Page (288).
