Ball, George
W. W. 14 April 1746---W. P. 9 June 1746
My mother-in-law Sarah Waddy-the land that she now lives on and one half of my tract of land I now live on, during her natural life.
Wife Grace Ball-one half of the tract of land I now live on
during her natural life, and if my wife should outlive her mother, she to have the other half during her natural life in lieu of her dower of my lands elsewhere.
Son John Ball-use of all the other tracts of land except one hundred acres adjoining along "Waddy's Creek", which I give to my son David Ball after the death of his grandmother and mother, during my son David's natural life.
if my son John Ball's wife Margaret should depart this life before my son John, and my son John Ball should marry again and have issue of his body by his then wife, that the said issue have the said land, and if he should not have issue my son George Ball to have the land I live on, and he to make over to my son David Ball his land.
Son John Ball-the use of that part of my land in St. Stephen's Parish that I bought of my mother-in-law Sarah Waddy, bounded northerly and easterly upon Colo. Mottrom and Dodson, southerly and westerly upon a new line of marked trees as per deed acknowledged to me in the General Court, during his natural life to him and his issue and if none to my son David Ball and his heirs.
Son George Ball-the four parcels I purchased of Jno. Bledsoe, John Nichles, Thos. Dameron, and William Bently. Also two hundred acres of land in King George County, the southermost part adjoining to the land of Scott's, with the plantation not to include above a third part of ye choice level land next adjoining to the land of William Harding.
son Richard Ball-two hundred acres of land, most north eastermost corner in King George County, including one third part of the choice level land lying next adjoining to the land of William Harding, to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten,and for want of such heirs to my son George Ball. Also one hundred and fifty acres of land in St. Stephen's Parish in Northumberland County, to him and the heirs of his body, and for want of such issue to my son David Ball.
Son Joseph Ball-all the remainder part of my land in King George County to him and his heirs, and for want of such heirs to my son Richard Ball and the heirs of his body, and for want of such heirs to my son George Ball and his heirs.
Son Joseph Ball-my water mill lying in St. Stephen's Parish, after the widowhood of his mother.
My son Joseph Ball-at all times to grind free all my son John Ball's corn during his natural life, that is for the use of his farm. If my son Joseph Ball dies without lawful' issue the mill to go to my son David Ball, except one third part to my son John Ball during his natural life and then to the heirs of his body by a second wife, and if no such issue to my son David Ball and his heirs.
Wife Grace Ball-negro Tom to her and her heirs; and the use of five negroes vizt; Robin, Dick, Dinah, Mime, and young Sorofee,
and their increase during her natural life, and then they to go to my son George Ball.
Two sons John, and George Ball-my copper still and worm.
Son George Ball-my water mill in Wicco. Parish after the widowhood of his mother and he to grind my son John Ball's corn in Wicco. Parish for his family during John's natural life.
Son David Ball-all my law books, my watch, and chair and harness, and no more of my personal estate. It is not for any disrespect to my son, but my deceased brother David Ball has given him a considerable estate.
Daughter Sarah Dameron-negro woman named Arrobell and her daughter Franky and their increase, also the personal estate that is in her possession.
Thirty pounds current money to be raised out of my estate-to buy land for my grandson George Dameron.
Daughter Harris Ball-seven negrces vizt: Sorofee, Rose, Beety, Letty, Barbara, Betty, and Sinah and their future increase. Daughter Grace Burn-five negroes vizt: Jone, Sue, Abraham,Tibitha, and Jesse, and their future increase.
Son John Ball-the use of six negroes vizt: Sam, Phillis, Ben, Humphry, young Rose, and young Torn, during his natural life and then to the heirs of his body, lawfully begotten by a second wife, and for want of such issue to be equally divided between my four sons George, David, Richard, and Joseph Ball,
Son George Ball-four negroes vizt: Will, Betty, Peter, and George.
Also my writing desk, new saddle and bridle, pistols and holsters, pettycoat, the }owson(housing)that is silver laced, and the use of the personal estate he has already received.
Son Richard Ball-three negroes vizt: Crowner, Judey, and Moll, one feather bed, bolster, bedstead, rugg and blanket, and the rest of the personal estate he has already received.
Money to be raised out of my estate-to pay for the building and furnishing of my son Richard Ball's house.
Son Joseph Ball-two negroes vizt: Jaety and Laney, the large table and looking glass in the hall, after the death of his mother. Money to be raised out of my estate-to pay for the building and furnishing of my son Joseph Ball's house, and also money for my son Joseph Ball to complete his paying for the land that he bought of his cousin Jesse Ball.
Son John Ball-after the death of his mother, my desk and bookcase that stands in the hall, the oval table in the chamber, and the rest of the personal estate he has already received.
Daughter Harris Ball-a good bed and furniture, four. dutch chairs, two pewter. dishes and six plates, and the horse and bridle called hers.
Rest of my personal estate not already given-to be equally divided between my wife and son Joseph Ball.
Daughter Harris Ball-the use of my house called a necessary, during her maiden life. Also sufficient ground on the plantation I now live on for her slave to work, and house room for corn and tobacco. Estate not to be appraised.

Son George Ball-a silver can and the cold still.
Three daughters Sarah Dameron, Harris Downman and Grace Downman. three great bibles, the bible to be in value three pounds current money of Virginia, three Cows and calves, six sheep, six best hogs to be equally divided between them.
Son David Ball-a horse called Jack, a draft steer, seven leather chairs, a press, a large bible common Prayer Book, the whole Duty or Man, a large looking glass, case and bottles.
Son Richard-Ball-three cows, two young stears, two good yearlings, all my hogs not before given, a good bed and furniture.
Son Joseph Ball-negro fellow Tom, a good bed and furniture.
a very large Kittle, pan or hand ....
Rest of estate to be equally divided between my sons David Ball and Joseph Ball.
