      THIS INDENTURE made this 5th day of November in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Eighty eight Between ALEXANDER SCOTT Gent, & FRANCES his Wife of Prince William County of one part and JOHN McMILLIAN Gent. of County afd. of the other part; Witnesseth that ALEXANDER SCOTT & FRANCES his Wife for the sum of One hundred pounds to him in hand paid by JOHN McMILLIAN by these presents do bargain & sell unto JOHN McMILLIAN & his heirs two tracts of land with the appurtenances lyng in County of Prince William, the one tract of land joining the land of JOSEPH SMITH, SYLVESTER MOSS, the GLEBE LANDS & the sd JOHN McMILLIAN & containing One hundred & fifty acres more or less, it being the same tract of land on which JOHN McMILLIAN now lives & conveyed to the REVEREND JAMES SCOTT, Grand Father of said ALEXANDER, by JAMES BAYLIS, HENRY LEE and DANIEL PAYNE, Exors. of JOHN BAYLIS deceased by Deed of Bargain & Sale bearing date the Second day of October one thousand seven hundred & Sixty nine, the other being part of the tract of land on which WESTWOOD stands beginning at a white Oak on QUANTICO RUN & a corner to JACKSONS TRACT. also a corner to HEDGES, then North nineteen degrees forty five minutes West thirty four poles to a Stake, thence North fifty one degrees West one hundred & forty eight poles to a Stake two poles to the North of a Spring, thence North twenty seven degrees West seventy six poles to a Stake, North thirty nine degrees East fifty two poles, North twenty five degrees thirty minutes EAst one hundred & forty five poles, thence North fifty six degrees fifteen minutes West one hundred & ten poles to STEWARTs Line, thence with his line South twenty one degrees West seventy six poles to a Black Gum, thence South twenty six degrees West twenty six poles South eight degrees East thirty seven poles, South four degrees East fourteen poles, South seven degrees West one hundred poles to a large white Oak, thence South eighty two degrees East twelve poles crossing the Run & then down the Run the several courses and meanders thereof to the Begining, containing Two hundred and twenty four acres and all houses woods & ways beloning, To have and to hold the Two Tracts of land with appurtenances unto JOHN McMILLIAN This heirs and ALEXANDER SCOTT his heirs will warrant & forever defend by these presents, In Witness whereof ALEXANDER SCOTT & FRANCES his Wife have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written
