      pp. 237-238 In Name of God Amen I JOHN BUCKNER of Saint Pauls Parish in County of Stafford being sick but of perfect sence do make this my Last will &Testament Imprimis my soul to God .. body to earth .. such worldly goods dispose of in following manner .. Item I give unto my loving wife ELIZABETH BUCKNER & my Daughter SUSAN. BUCKNER my whole Estate as well real as personal to be equally divided between them.       THIS INDENTURE made the third day of June in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy eight Between THOMAS BUNBURY JUNR., of County of King George, Gent., of one part and JOHN HOOE of the County of PRINCE WILLIAM of other part; Witnesseth that in consideration of Ten shillings current money to said THOMAS in hand paid by said JOHN, by these presents doth bargain and sell unto JOHN HOOE and assigns all that parcel of land formerly sold and conveyed to said THO BUNBURY by RICHARD FOWKE SENR., now deceased, by Deed bearing date the fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five, duely proved and recorded in STAFFORD County (the said Land then lying in that County) at present situate in County of King George on POTOWMACK RIVER and bounded; Begining at a Stake on the bank of POTOWMACK RIVER being a corner between this land and the land of CHANDLER FOWKE SENR., thence up the River to the Corner of the GLEBE, thence with the GLEBE Line So. 2 1/2 E. three hundred and twenty four poles to a white Oak, thence with another line of the GLEBE Land So. 89d. W. one hundred and seventy six poles to a Stake at the Roots of a white Oak Stump by the Main Branch of PASBITANAY, thence So. forty six poles to a Locust Post, the begining of HIJMPHREYs Patent, thence binding with said Patent and the land of FITZHUGH, N. 88d. E. to a Stake being another corner between this land and the land of CHANDLER FOWKE, thence along the division of the last named tracts of land to the begining as by a Survey and Division made between RICHARD FOWKE and CHANDLER FOWKE by JOHN MAUZY on the 10th of May 1750 may appear, the tract of land containing Five hundred acres more or less and all houses swamps marshes and sunken grounds and fisheries, To have and to hold the tract of land and premises with appurtenances unto JOHN HOOE and assigns paying the said THOMAS his heirs one Pepper Corn if the same shall be lawfully demanded; to the intent that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession the said JOHN HOOF may be in the actual possession of the hereby bargained and sold premises and enabled to accept a Release of the reversion and inheritance thereof; In Witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first before written Signed Sealed delivered and acknowledged before
