1790-1791 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber JJ 2 [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 183. At the request of Maria Rozer, Harriet Rozer, Eliza Rozer and Cecilia Rozer the following Deed was recorded July 14, 1790
Indenture made September 14, 1790; Between Henry Rozer, Gentleman of one part and Maria Rozer, Harriet Rozer, Eliza Rozer and Cecilia Rozer, heirs of Notley Rozer, deceased and grand daughters of the said Henry Rozers of the of other part.
Whereas at an act of assembly of Maryland passed at April session 1787, certain lands therein mentioned called "Bennets Lowe" lying in Kent County, Maryland are settled on Eleanor Rozer the daughter of Thomas Whittenhall [Whetenhall] Rozer and grand daughter of Henry Rozer to take place on the said Henry Rozer settling other lands of equal value in fee simple under the direction of the Chancellor of this state upon the heirs of the said Notley Rozer; and whereas upon the petition of Henry Rozer filed in the court of Chancery on December 15th last, a commission by order of the Honorable Chancellor did on the same day issue to Donaldson Yates, Charles Groome, Resin Gale, Sr., John Kenard, Sr., and Benjamin Perry of Kent County, Maryland to view and appraise the land called "Bennets Lowe" who by an inquisition taken and returned bearing date the 21st of the same month did appaise the land at 7 pounds 10 shillings current money per acre amounting to the sum of 5250 current money; and whereas the Chancellor did afterwards on December 24th last issue unto Dr. William Baker, Overton Carr, John Casey, Nicholas Young and George Lee a commission to them to appraise tracts Penguiah [Panguay] Manor and Aquonsick [Aquinsick] both lying in Charles County, Maryland and Admariothria Manor lying in PGCo as will amount the said sum of 5250 pounds currnt money; which commissioners returned to their court of Chancery bearing date August 4, 1790 did value Admariothria Manor at 8 pounds current money per acre being the south end containing 656 ¼ acres and beginning at the stump of a red oak being the boundary for the end of the 4th line of "Rozers Gift" being part of Admariothria Manor heretofore on May 27, 1700 conveyed by Notley Rozer, father to Henry Rozer unto William Clarkson and now in the possession of the heirs of Thomas Clarkson being also the end of the 2nd line of "Stoney Hill" or "Atheys Folly" being another part of Admariothria Manor conveyed by Notley Rozer May 29, 1700 to William Clarkson, 45 acres part thereof now in the possession of Edward Clarkson, and bounded by the main run of Hinson Branch which runs into Broad Creek and bounding on the south with Broad Creek to Potomack River; which several valuations were confirmed by the Honorable Alexander Contee Hanson, Chancellor.
Now this indenture witnesseth that Henry Rozer in consideration of the premises and 5 shillings has sold to Maria Rozer, Harriet Rozer, Eliza Rozer and Cecilia Rozer the aforesaid part of Admariothria Manor mentioned in the commission containing 656 acres and valued at 5250 pounds and each receiving one undivided fourth part as tenant in common and not as joint tenant. Signed H. Rozer, in the presence of and acknowledged before John Smith Brookes, Wm Baker and at the same time Eleanor Rozer w/o Henry Rozer relinquished her right of dower
