      We, George Dent and Ann Dent of CC, for the natural love which we have for our son, John Dent of CC, and for 5 shillings sterling, we give John 2 tracts of land lying formerly in Prince Georges County but since part of that County by a late Act of Assembly has been annexed to CC. Sd lands appear to lie in CC, the one called Clarks Inheritance, the other Clarks Purchase, said to contain 500 acres each. To have and to hold after the death of either of us, George or Ann, Clarks Inheritance, except such small part thereof as is cleared and occupied by Stephen Lomax, a tenant now living thereon. And after the death of each of us, George and Ann, sd John Dent to enjoy the other tract called Clarks Purchase. If, however, sd John Dent shall die before he is possessed of sd lands, or being so possessed should die without lawful issue and without disposing of the lands by his will or otherwise, then we, George and Ann, in consideration of the natural love which we have for our daughters, Elizabeth, the wife of William Pen, Sarah; Rebeccah, and Liley [Letey?] Dent, do give them the 2 tracts, and if a daughter dies without issue, the survivors to enjoy the whole, and in case they all die without issue, we give the 2 tracts to the right heirs of us. Signed Feb 23, 1750[/1] - Geo Dent, Ann Dent. wit - Robt Yates, Arthur
      Lee. Afd Ann, the wife of George Dent, relinquished her right in the lands within mentioned. {The deed was examined and corrected by the original deed on Nov 23, 1773 by the Commissioner appointed for that purpose by Richd Fendall, Clk}
