-to have for her natural life the land which testator purchased from Benjamin Trueman being part of a tract of land called -Blackwell cont. 193 1/2 acres
-to have the land which testator owns at the mouth of the Eastern Branch of the Potomac River called "St, Elizabeth" cont. 600 acre
-to have Negro wench "Pegg" and her son "Jack" and also "my House maid Charity" -to have all of testator's household furniture, all plate, and all stock of horses, cattle, sheep, and hogs along w/ all plantation utensils
-to have testator's "wheel carriages" for her natural life and all the above in order to maintain and support testator's children
-to have the sum of 200 pounds current money "to enable her to build a Dwelling House on the lands hereby bequeathed to her" in the will--and to have her choice of building on either St. Elizabeth's" or "Blackwell" and the 200 pounds to be made in gold or silver —being Spanish Dollars at 7 shillings 6 pence sterling per dollar, and to be at her sole disposal --as the building of the house "was meetly mentioned for her convenience if she thought proper to apply it that way"
-to have one third of the remainder of the estate with the other 2 thirds to be divided into 10 parts with testator's son Stanislaus to have one tenth, and Walter Hyde Hoxton to have one tenth and the remaining 8 tenths to be divided among testator's five daugthers -wearing apparel not to be considered as part of the personal estate to he given as widow deems proper

Memorandum that on the special petition of Walter Hoxton of PGCo preferred to the justices of the county on the 4th Tuesday in March 1778 for a land commission was issued on March 24, 1778; to Messrs Notley Young, George Lee, Joseph Pope and Jonathan Slater of PGCo Gentleman, whereas Walter Hoxton is seized of a part of a tract called "St. Elizabeth" and preferred his petition in writing to our county court held at Upper Marlborough Town for a commission to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the said tract of land. Therefore, we command you any three or two of you to examine all witnesses or persons concerned touching their knowledge of the bounds of the said tract. In consequence of a commission to examine evidences to prove the bounds of "St. Elizabeth" we intend to meet on July 27th next next. Given our hands and seals, Jonathan Slater, Notley Young, George Lee
Robert St. Clair aged 55 years deposeth that about 21 or 22 years ago he was in company with Thomas Wilcoxen, Sr. and Thomas Gatton who both declared that a place where he now shows and is now's set up a flat stone about 5 yards from the Eastern Branch of Potomack side and on the south side of a small branch called the Annacostin that runs into it the Potomack River stood the beginning tree of the land called "St. Elizabeth" and the said St. Clair further says that he has 3 times carry the chain to run the said land and always began at the said place.
