      Oct 18, 1743 from Dan Macdaniel Jr of Orange County, Virginia, planter, to James Maddox of CC. Richd Standforth of CC, owning a certain tract of land called Thompsons Hope, containing about 1,33 acres, lying in CC, on or about Sep, 1734, by a deed of mortgage, conveyed the land to William Feast of the City of London, Wax Chandler. Said William Feast, by his deed dated Jan 27, 1740, conveyed the land and the deed of mortgage to all of his estate to James Russell. James Russell, for 10,000 lbs tobacco, sold to Danl MacDaniel all the sd tract of land called Thompsons Hope and the sd deed of mortgage, by virtue of the said deed. Now this deed witnesses that the said Daniel MacDaniel, for 9000 lbs tobacco, has sold to James Maddox, all the said tract of land called Thompsons Hope and the mortgage.
