      THIS INDENTURE made this 27th day of January in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between WILLIAM HERNDON and MARY his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and ANDREW GLASSELL & FREDERICK TANNER of aforesaid County of other part Witnesseth that for sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds Currt. money of Virga. to him paid have bargained and sold unto ANDREW GLASSELL & FREDERICK TANNER them their heirs a certain tract of land in County aforesaid and on Waters of ROBINSON RIVER bounded Begining at two red Oaks and a Pine , Corner to the Old Pattent, thence N. 15E. 160 poles to three Pines, thence N. 75 West 200 poles to two white Oaks, thence S. 15 W. 160 poles to three Pines, thence South 75 West 200 poles to the begining containing by Estimation Two hundred acres more or less Together with all woods ways Orchards and appurtenances belonging To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises from all Incumbrances unto ANDREW GLASSELL &FREDERICK TANNER thier heirs As Witness our hands and seals the day & year above written

HILL) At a Court held for Culpeper County the 21st day of March 1785
      This Indenture was proved by the Oaths of MOSES HARBISON & JNO. HUME, two of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Certified, And at a Court held for said County 16th May 1785 was fully proved by the Oath of THOMAS PORTER, a witness thereto, and with a Commission thereto annexed & Certificate thereon Indorsed was ordered to be recorded
