KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I WILLIAM SPARKS of County of Culpeper Parish of Saint Marks am bound unto SPENCE BOBO of said Parish & County in the Sum of One hundred pounds current money of Virginia this 10th January 1752. The Condition of above bond is such that if Wm. Sparks will truly perform Bargain formerly made between Spencer Bobo and William Sparks that is to say said William Sparks doth agree to give to Spencer Bobo and MARY his Wife the land whereon Spencer now lives containing 50 acres during the natural lives of said Spencer and Mary his Wife or during the time they shall think fist to live on the said land paying one Shilling Sterling to said William Sparks yearly then this Bond to be void otherwise remain in full force

THIS INDENTURE made this fifth day of April One thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Between THOMAS SIMS of County of Culpeper of one part and AMY BOBO (Daughter of the said THOMAS SIMS) of the County aforesaid of other part Witnesseth that THOMAS SIMS for and in consideration of love and affection which he has for his said Daughter and also for and in consideration of Five shillings current money to him in hand paid by said AMY BOBO the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath lent to said AMY BOBO during her natural life Five slaves now in the possession of her Husband, ABSALOM BOBO, to wit, One Negro woman named Cate, two Negro boys, Sons of the said Cate, named Henry and Oliver, Two Negro girls, Daughters of the said Cate, named Jenny and Hannah, the said THOMAS SIMS doth lend unto ABSALOM BOBO two of the said slaves during his natural life and after the death of ABSALOM BOBO and AMY his Wife, then the said slaves above mentioned to return to my Grann Daughter, NANCY POWELL, and her lawfull heirs forever, and the said THOMAS SIMS doth hereby oblige himself & his heirs to warrent and defend the right and title of the said slaves and their future Increase to said NANCY POWELL her heirs and assigns forever against the claim of him the said THOMAS SIMS & her heirs and against the claims of any person claiming under him in Witness whereof the said THOMAS SIMS hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year above written
