      THIS INDENTURE made the Sixteenth day of December in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Between SAMUEL SCOTT, CHRISTIAN his Wife, HARMON VICESCARVER of County of Culpeper and BRIDGET his Wife of one part and ELIZEMEN BASY of said County of other part Witnesseth that HAR-MON VICESCARVER for sum of One thousand three hundred and forty pounds current money to him in hand paid by these presents do bargain and sell unto ELEZEMON BASEY his heirs and assigns a certain tract of land containing one hundred and forty acres of land more or less situate lying and being in County of Culpeper and bounded Begining at a white Oak and Hickory on East side of a branch of CROOKED RUN called the BRAID BRANCH just above the Road runing thence across the said Branch with the lines called ANTHONY SCOTT till it comes to said Branch again crossing the said Branch again to three white Oaks corner to said ANTHONY SCOTT deceased, thence with said line to a white Oak a Corner made by ROBERT SCOTT and SAMUEL SCOTT near the head of the SNAKE BRANCH, thence with a line made by said ROBERT SCOTT and SAMUEL SCOTT to a red Oak corner in the aforesaid ANTHONY SCOTT line, thence with said line to the be-gining and all houses Inclosures and profits whatsoever to the tract of land belonging and all Estate right title and Interest whatsoever of him the said SAMUEL SCOTT and CHRISTIAN his Wife, HARMON VICESCARVER and BRIDGET VICESCARVER his Wife of and in the said Bargained To have and to hold the tract of land and the appurtenances unto ELIZEMON BASEY his heirs and assigns In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands and seals the day and year first written

      THIS INDENTURE made this fifth day of August in year of our Lord One thousand sevin hundred & Eighty Between HARMAN VISCARVER & BRIDGET his Wife of Culpeper County of one part and ELIZAMON BASIE of said County of other part Witnesseth that HARMON VISCARVER for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred pounds in hand paid by these presents do bargain & sell unto the said ELIZAMON BASIE his heirs and assigns one piece or parcel of land on CROOKED RUN in said County containing Fifteen acres more or less and bounded Begining at white Oak and two Spanish Oaks in a line of JNO. COONES's on the West side of BROAD BRANCH, thence with the said COONES's line down said RUN till it comes to two Pines and one white Oak Corner to said COONES & MOORE on the East side of said RUN, thence with said MOORE's line down said RUN to one forked white Oak on West side of said RUN, Corner to said MOORE & SIGNEs, thence with said SIGNEs line up CROOKED RUN to two white Oaks in said line on the South side of a small Branch of CROOKED RUN & on the West side of CROOKED RUN, thence with a Blaized line to the begining containing Fifteen acres more or less with all houses Orchards meadows profits Emoluments to the same belonging To have and to hold the said land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said ELIZAMON BASIE his heirs or assigns forever against the claims of us our heirs or any person whatsoever and we do warrant and defend the said BASYE in the Peaceable possession of the same In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals the day and year above written
