      THIS INDENTURE made the first day of June 1774 Between JOHN DIXON Clerk Admr with Will annexed of ROGER DIXON decd of one part and LUCY DIXON Widow of the said Roger Dixon of the second part and JAMES YANCEY, Danceing Master, of the Third part Whereas the said John Dixon by the Will of the said Roger Dixon was Impowered to sell all the lands and lotts of the said Roger Dixon in the County of Culpeper and to lay off or agree with said Lucey Dixon for her dower said Will of record in the SPOTSYLVANIA COURT and Whereas said John Dixon proceeded to a sale thereof by way of Public Auction and said James Yancey having at the said Sale offered the Sum of Five pounds became the highest bidder for and purchaser of one Lott or half acre of land in the TOWN of FAIRFAX and County of Culpeper NOW THIS INDENTURE WIT-NESSETH that said John Dixon for the sum of money aforesaid hath granted said James Yancey the aforesaid Lott of land numbered in the plan of the said Town 19 Together with all Improvements and the said Lucey Dixon for sum of Twelve shillings and six pence paid with the direction of the said John Dixon released to the said James Yancey all her Estate right which she hath to the lott hereby conveyed . . . .
