      In the Name of God Amen. I DAVID McMURRIN of St. Mark's Parish in the County of Culpeper being sick and weak but of sound and perfect sense and memory .. do make this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like manner And as touching my worldly Estate I give demise and dispose of the same in the manner following vizt.
      Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter SARAH NORMAN one shilling and she to have no more of my Estate.
      Item I leave and bequeath unto my dear and loving Wife MARGARET after my just debts are satisfied and paid all my Personal Estate of what kind soever during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to my Son WILLIAM McMURRIN
      Lastly I do appoint my loving Wife Margaret McMurrin and my son William McMurrin whole and sole Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Testimony whereof .. this twenty second day of May 1750.

      This Indenture made 26th November 1771 between JOSEPH NORMAN and SARAH his Wife of Parish of Saint Marks in County of Culpeper and OBEDIAH PETTIT of same in consideration of sum One hundred pounds current money of Virginia doth sell unto Obediah Pettit certain piece of land in Culpeper County being part of a large tract patented by ISAAC NORMAN Deceased in 1728 and by him conveyed as followeth Vizt. all that part thereof scituate on Northeast side of Flat Run to his son in Law JAMES TURNER which said land James Turner afterwards conveyed unto the above-said Joseph Norman and all that part of said land lying and being on the North West side of the said Run was conveyed by Isaac Norman Deceased to his son the said Joseph Norman all which said Tract lyeth in manner and form Vizt. Beginning at. a white oak tree markted fora corner in the line of the Reverend JOHN THOMPSON's lands near the GREAT ROAD and running from thence to a black oak tree marked for a corner to the place of Beginning containing as to contain in the whole full quantity of 146 acres ..
