Notes |
- mm note: there appears to be a generation missing in the Joshua Lindsy line.
A Joshua Linsey died 1720 in St. Mary's Parish, Essex County that would fall into Caroline County in 1728. Joshua's will mentions children and the Widow Mary leased 117acres in the same area. Her last mention is in a 1725 conveyance and with the loss of Caroline records. family histories will need to fill in the blanks.
This means that the Joshua that married Mary Nicholls had to be a s/o the Joshua that died 1720 and the father of the Joshua that died 1813 in North Carolina
A will for Joshua Lindsey was presented for probate in the April 1788 Caroline Court, that appears to be overlooked too.
When James Lindsey died in 1782, I believe it was this Joshua that was a witness. (his nephew)
