  • Notes
    • "Edward served in the War of 1812 and received his final settlement in May of 1815. His birthdate is one of the few legible in the Bible of his brother, Thomas Boswell. Edward is on the Henderson County, Kentucky Tax list in 1814, not in 1815 or 16, but again in 1817 and 1819. He is in Henderson County, Tennessee, along with Matthew, Mary the widow of Thomas, and a Joseph Boswell in the 1830 census. His wife Emily is along with the children in the 1840 census but since her youngest child was born about 1840, we assume that Edward died about 1840. There are several other very young children listed in the 1840 census which may or may not be sons and daughters of Edward and Emily."
