Land is part of a patent of 9400 acres granted Larkin Chew, Gent, deceased on 4 June 1722 and by him sold to Joseph Brock but 800 acres of the tract first granted to the said Larkin Chew and Joseph Chew, Richard Buckner and John Sutton all now deceased by two patents for 400 acres each dated 26 April 1712, afterwards included in that part of the patent forced 9400 acres sold to Joseph Brock and petition for by Rice Curtis, Junior as lapse for want of improvement. Thomas Chew his heir at large of Larkin and Joseph CHew, Richard Buckner heir at law of the said Richard Buckner and Samuel Sutton heir at law of the said John Sutton who obtained grant for the same. 12 September 1738
