      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we JNO: WATSON, ROBERT COLEMAN and HUGH CRABB of ye County of Essex are firmly bound unto his Majties. Justices of the Peace for ye sd. County of Essex in the summe of Twenty thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco and caske to the which payment we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these presents Witness our hands and seales this 10th day of August 1696
      The Condicon of the above obligacon is such that if the above bound JOHN WATSON, Admr, of the Estate of WM. MERRIOTT deced, do make or cause to be made a true Inventory of all ye goods chattells right and Credits of ye sd deced. which shall come to the hands of him or hands of any other persons for him and the same so made do exhibit to the next Court that shall be held for the sd, county of Essex and make oath thereto, And well and truly administer on the sd. Estate according to Law and give a true account of his administration when lawfully required and all the rest of ye sd. goods wch: shall be found remaineing upon account of ye sd administration the same being first examined & allowed of by ye sd Court shall deliver to such persons as ye Court pursuant to Law shall appoint, Then this obligacon to be void, otherwise to stand in full force
