THIS INDENTURE made Between WILLIAM STANTON of County of Culpeper of one part and JOHN PROCTER of aforesaid County Witnesseth this Ninth of April 1773 that said William Stanton for payment of rent and performance of the covenants hereafter expressed hath demised to farm let land in Culpeper County and bounded Beginning at a Spanish oak in Stantons line South to a pine Corner to ARMSTEAD & JOHN STRODE and said Stantons with Strodes line South to two red oaks in JOHN BUTLERs line thence East to the Beginning. To Hold the said parcel of land to him the said John Procter during the natural life of said John Procter, MARY PROCTER his Wife and his Son THOMAS PROCTER paying every year unto William Stanton on the feast of Saint Luke being the 18th day of October the just sum of two pounds Current money of Virginia and that he will leave premises in good Tenantable repair dureing the said term . .
