      IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I ELIZABETH LINCH being sick and weak in body but of perfect memory blessed and praised by Almighty God for the same do make and ordaine this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following. First and Chiefly I commend my Soule to Almighty God that gave it hopeing by ye merritorious death & passion of my Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive ye full pardon & forgiveness of all my sins and a joyfull resurrection at ye last day; And my body to the ground to be Christianly buried at ye discretion of Exrs. hereafter named, And as for my worldly goods that God hath lent me, I will and bequeath them as followeth:
      Imprimis I give to HOWELL JONES, Sonne of my Sonne, WALTER JONES, one pewter Dish and three pewter Plates, one little Iron pott & a little pair of pott hooks, & one Table, one butter pott, two year old Heifer & her female increased, & a young Colt that came of a gray Mare called Jenny
      Item I give to JOHN MACKENNY my Sonne, one pewter dish and three pewter plates, ye great iron pott & paire of pott hookas, the great chest, one hundred & fifty acres of land the Horse Whipster, the Cow Mealy & ye Cow Neger, and all the increase, a Bull Calfe that came of a Cow called Wanton and the Bed I lye on, two gunns and ye tobacco that is at EDWARD JEFFRIES and ye tobacco in the Chest, a hand saw & an auger & ye wedges & hoe
      Item I give unto my Daughter, JANE JONES two pewter dishes, a middle Iron pott and pott hooles, two Cows calld. Fortune & Cherry & all their increase, and the other Bed, a Mare called Jenny & all her future increase, two Bull calves, And if ye bequeathed Mare be dead, I give her a Mare in ye woods unbroake only she is to give the first Mare fold to PHEBE BENDBRIDGE my Grand Daughter, One hundred acres of Land and a frying pan & two pewter salter sellers, a Trunk lock & key & a chest & what writings belongs to any Debts
      Item I give to PHEBE BENDBRIDGE my Grand Daughter if ye abovesd. Mare Jenny be alive the young unbroake Mare in the woods, and Negers Heifer
      Item I give to my Sonne, WALTER JONES, the gunne called Baggwell, a drawing knife & a halfe inch auger; I doe make my sd. Son, WALTER, Exr. of this my last Will &Testament & I doe hereby make void all former Wills by me at any time made & publish this to be my last Will and Testamt, and have hereunto set my hand & seale this 31st day of January 1695/6,

      Imprs one Cow and Calfe sold to Mr. MERIWETHER, Item three Cowes, twoa Heifers and a yearling Bull; one old CaIfe, one grind stone, 30 pounds of pewter at eleven pounds p lb., a parcell of old lumber; one chest, one table, one old trunk, one pestle & one old adze, Sixty pounds of feathers at eight pound p. lb., one paile & three trays, three iron potts qt. eighty pounds at three pounds and a half p lb. one Horse Total 5370
      Wee whose names are subscribed did in obedience to an Order of ye Worpll. Court of Essex meet at the House of WALTER JONES, Executor of the last Will and Testament of the sd.       KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I BENJA: GOODRICH of JAMES CITTY COUNTY, Admrstr: with the Will annexed of JOHN FRY deced, do by virtue of an Order of the Genll. Court bearing date the 28th day of 8ber 1687 giving me the same Power and authoritie as Majr: GEORGE MORRIS had in the last Will and Testament of the sd JOHN FRY to acknowledge such lands as was by him sold before his death and it appearing to me that the said JOHN FRY sometime before his death had sold and layed out for WM. LINCH of Rappa. County Three hundred acers of land and had received satisfaction for the same, But had given the sd LINCH no sale nor acknowledgement for the said land. Now I BENJA: GOODRICH qualified as abovesaid by vertue thereof do assigne and sett over unto ELIZABETH LINCH, Admrx. of WM. LINCH, three hundred acers of land being on the South side of Rappa: River and bounded as followeth: Beginning at a red Oake standing on the Mane Swamp of HOSKINS CREEKE at the mouth of a Branch just above CoIlnel: GOODRICH's Quarter and between two marked Poplars, thence South W into the Woods by a marked line to a Corner red Oake on a Hill thence So. E. to a marked line to the aforesd. Branch to a corner white Oake, thence down and alongst the sd Branch its severall courses to the first specified red Oake and do by these presents make over unto the sd ELIZABETH LINCH the abovesd. Three hundred acres of land to her forever from me my heirs and all other persons whatsoever claiming under me the sd land granted Mr. HENRY AWBREY by Patent bearing date the 19th day of March 1677/8 Witness my hand and seale this 11th day of May and in the yeare of our Lord 1688

Court bearing date the 28th day of October 1687 giving ye sd Mr. BENJAMIN GOODRIDGE the same power that Majr. GEORGE MORRISS had in the last Will and Testament of Mr. JOHN FRY to acknowledge such lands as was by Mr. JOHN FRY some time before his death sold but by him not acknowledged and it appearing to the sd Mr. BENJAMIN GOODRIDGE sd Mr. JOHN FRY had sold to and laid out for WM: LINCH, late of ye County of Rappa: Three hundred acres of land being in the South side of Rappa: in Rappa: County aforesd. and by the sd Mr. BENJAMIN GOODRIDGE to me acknowledged in Rappa: Court by vertue of sd Conveyance sell and transfer unto PATRICK CARNWELL of the sd County of Rappa:, Plantr., Fifty acres of land out of ye sd Three hundred acres where it is seated by PHILIP BENBRIDGE the sd PATRICK CARNWELL oblidging himself to fence clear and build so much fencing clearing and building as at the delivery of these premisses is found cleared and built upon ye sd Fifty acres in any other part (of ye sd Three hundred acres of land) appointed by the sd ELIZABETH LINCH her heirs when there to call'd and I the sd ELIZABETH LINCH do by these presents make over unto the said PATRICK CARNWELL the sd Fifty acres of land for ever from me and from all other persons under me nevertheless subject to the quit rents as shall become due to our Sovereign Lord ye King In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and fixed my seale this second day of October 1688

County of Essex heirs & assignes forever (for the valuable consideration of Fifteen hundred pounds of lawfull tobacco to me in hand paid before the deliverey of these presents, do by these presents discharge the sd. ROSE RYLEY her heirs, acknowledging my selfe fully paid, One hundred acres of Land lyeing on the South side of Rappahannock River in ye sd. County of Essex and on the Branches of HOSKINS his CREEKE, and bounded as followeth; Beginning at a marked red Oake the corner tree of ye land of PARTRICK CAMMELL, and running thence into the Woods by a line of markt. trees Southwest to a marked white Oake corner tree standing on a hill, thence South East to ye line of CAMMELLs Land by a Branch, thence up ye sd. line to ye first menconed stacon; the sd. One hundred acres of land being part of Three hundred acres of land formerly sold by JOHN FRY unto WILLIAM LYNCH, and acknowledged in ye County Court of RAPPAHANNOCK by Mr. JAMES BOUGHAN, Attorney for Mr, BENJAMIN GOODRICH, who was the Administrator of the Will of JOHN FRY deced, unto ELIZABETH LYNCH, Widow & Executrix of the said WILLIAM LYNCH, and by her the sd. ELIZABETH LYNCH-, my Mother, bequeathed unto me the said JANE JONES in her last Will and Testament, all which by the Records of ye County of Essex may & doth more largely appear; To have and to hold to her the sd. ROSE REYLEY the sd. One hundred acres of land to her her heirs and assigns forever, And quietly and peaceably to enjoy with all the right appertaineing without the hinderance of me the said JANE JONES my heirs & assignes & from the claimes of all persons to any part thereof under me; In Witness whereof I hereunto put my hand and afix my seale this 29th day of April 1696
