KNOW ALL MEN that I MARY HOLLOWAY Widdow of the County of Rappa. and Parish of Sittingbourne out of the love and pure affection wch I beare unto my two children RICHARD and ABIGALL HOLLOWAY have given and set over unto my Sonne RICHARD two Cows one of wch goeth by the name of Starr the other Cole and one Heifer of two year old black marked wth the proper marke of his deceased Father RICHARD HOLLOWAY wth all their female increase till my said Sonne attaine to ye age of Twelve yeares reserving only the male increase and then and thenceforth to have the male and female also to my said Daughter ABIGAILL HOLLOWAY two Cows the ones name is Black Betty the other Browne Betty the one bought of HUGH PALMER the other of Mr. ARCHDALE COMBE the marke I doe not well remember wth one two yeare old heifer called Brinded marked wth the same marke hir Brother Cattle are of with all their female increase till she attaine to the age of ten years and that thence forth to have and enjoy both male and female To have and to hold the said Cattle hereby given from me my heirs and assignes to them respective forever if either of them my said Children die before marriage or full age (marked out) yeares wt shall happen that then the Survivours shall have hir part and guift to him and his heirs forever provided Nevertheless it shall be lawfull for me in my owne and proper person to and for the better advantage of my said Children or any one of them if the other die to make sale of any the increase aforesd Cattle herein mentioned for a mare or any other thing or matter vch shall be staple and profitable for him or them and his or their use according to all true meanings and for better authenterance hereof I do hereby authorize and impower ROBERT PAYNE my true and lawfully attorney for me and in my name to acknowledge in the County Court of Rappa. this act and deed which I shall be good lawful! and authentic Witness my hand and seal this first day of January 1671 MARY HOLLOWAY

KNOW ALL MEN that I JOHN MILLES of Rappae: County in Pish of Sitenburn, Plantr., doe sell & make over all my right unto FRANCIS STERN of the said County & Pish one black Mare branded wth: M on the neare Buttock eighteen months old warranting the said Mare wth. her Increase unto the said FRANCIS STERN from all manner of persons that will lay any right in the said Mare at all times at any Courts lawfully holden in Collony of Virginia as Wittness my hand the 17th day of September 1677
