      THIS INDENTURE made the Fifth day of October in theyear of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred Eighty and six and in the second yeare of the Reign of our Sovereigne Lord James the second &c. Between JOHN FRY of the County of NEW KENT in Virginia of the one part and THOMAS BURGESS of PAMUNKEY NECK of the other part in the County aforesd. Wit.nesseth that the said JOHN FRY for himself his heires have sold for a valluable consideration by the sd JOHN FRY already reced of the said THO: BURGESS in the behalf of the Orphan of JOHN NICKASON deced, do by these presents sell all that my six hundred acres of land in the sd County of Rappa: being part of a greater divident the sd JOHN FRY purchased of HENRY AWBREY, Majr. GEO: MORRIS and Mr. BEN: GOODRICH to him the said THO: BURGESS his heires forever To have and to hold the said land quietly and peaceably without any lett of him the said JOHN FRY and from the claime of any persons whatsoever and the aforesd. tract of land beginning as followeth (vizt) beginning at a corner red Oake and Hickery of CHARLES WALKERs and JOHN SOUTHERN and running thence N. W. to two marked Oakes on a level!, thence N. E. to a marked white Oake, thence So. E. to a marked red Oake by a valey thence S. West to he land of the sd WALKER and SOUTHERN to 2 small Oakes, thence by the lines N. W. to a corner Pine and white Oake and thence So. W. to the place it first began, and the said JOHN FRY do for himself agree with said THOMAS BURGESS to acknowledge this Deed of bargaine and sale in the County Court of Rappa: when required by the aforesd. THO: BURGESS he paying the quit rents to his Maties and successors if demanded In Witness whereof and for the true performing of all the above recited articles the abovesd. JOHN FRY have sett his hand and seale the day and year first above written

      Sealed and delivered full quiet and peaceable state and seizin of and to the above mencioned land in the name of all and singular the premisses within written first had and taken by the within named JOHN FRY in his own person and afterwards by him deliverd to the within THOMAS BURGESS by Trust and Twigge to the uses intended of the within written Indenture mencioned in the presents of us the Subscribers

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN FRY of the Parish of St. Johns of NEW KENT in Virginia do acknowledge by these presents to ow and be indebted to THOMAS BURGESS of the Parish and County aforesaid in the just sum of Fifteen thousand pounds of sweet sented Tobo: and caske and to the true payment I bind myself firmly by these presents as Witness my hand and seale this fifth day of October 1686
      The Condicon of this obligation is that if the above bound JOHN FRY doe well and truly keep every the covinants on his part to be performed expressed in paire of Indentures of bargaine and sale bearing date with the above written obligation between JOHN FRY of the one part and THOMAS BURGESS of the other part and that in all things according to the true meaning of the sd Indentures, then this obligation to be void or else to remain in full force

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I THOS: BURGESS of County of NEW KENT do for divers good causes but especially for the sum of Eight thousand pounds of Tobb: in cask in hand to me paid do sett over from me my heirs forever all that parcell of land menconed in the recited Deed (blot) HEAD formerly bought of Mr. JOHN FRY late of the aforesd County deced unto JOHN OLIVAR and JANE his Wife and their heirs forever and do oblige myself my heirs to acknowledge the same in County Court of Rappa when thereunto required by sd OLIVAR to the truth of which I sett my hand and affixed my seal this 22nd day of 9ber 1690. I do further oblige myself my heirs in the penal! 'sum of Sixteen thousand pounds of Tobb: and caske that I will acknowledge this at the next Court held for Rappa is required

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ELIZABETH BURGESS do by these presents appoint my well beloved friend, ROBERT BURCH, to be my true and lawful! Attorney for me to acknowledge my part of Dowry or thirds of Six hundred acres of land lying in Rappa County which my Husband, THO: BURGESS, bought of Mr. JOHN FRY and by my Husband assigned over to JOHN OLIVAR as by Assignmt. under the seal of JOHN FRY to my Husband will appeare bearing date the 22nd day of 9ber 1690 in the County Court of Rappa which shall be held for sd County next after date hereof and what my said Attorney
      shall do in the premises I shall oblige me to ratifie as lawfully as if 1 myself were personally present as Witness my hand & Seal this 30th day of Jany. 1690/1
