281-283. Benjamin Gatton recorded 12 April 1768, made 7 December 1767, between Richard Henderson ofPGC, merchant, for £15..7 sterling, sells tract Cyder & Ginger, M&B given adj. William Hickman's lease ofthe said Preston's March, line which separates it from Benjamin Gatton's lease ofpart ofthe same, containing 73 acres more or less. Signed Richard Henderson before 1. Hepburn. Receipt. Ack. and Sarah wife ofRichard Henderson released dower.

Stephen Hickman, only son ofWilliam Hickman, recorded 12 April 1768, made 7 December 1767, between Richard Henderson ofPGC merchant, that whereas William Hickman, late ofFrederick County, deceased did pay the said Richard Henderson £46.. 15 sterling on 31 May 1764, in consideration whereof, the bond was made to convey tract called Cyder & Ginger, M&B given, adjacent to Benjamin Gatton's part, and next to tract called Preston's March,
containing 230 acres. For the premise above, and also for the sum of £31..15 sterling paid by Stephen Hickman, Richard Henderson grants that tract aforesaid. And M&B given, for a total of 385 acres more or less. Signed Richard Henderson. Receipt. before 1. Hepburn, Cunninham Corbett. Ack. and Sarah wife ofRichard Henderson released dower. AF paid.

Robert Peter of Frederick Co., merchant, recorded 27 March 1769, made 11 January between Richard Henderson of Prince George's Co., merchant, assigns tracts called The Sugar Lands, which was conveyed to Richard Henderson by Ninian Edmonston, 19 May 1764 in the Records ofthe Provincial Court, Liber DD#3, containing 200 acres more or less; also tract called Lowe Land, granted Richard Henderson by patent containing 35 acres; also tract called Blantyre, containing 1278 acres, and the remaining part ofparcel called Cyder and Ginger, excepting 100
acres in an elder survey called Fatigue, and remaining after 285 acres sold to Stephen Hickman and 73 acres sold to Benjamin Gatton, and 150 acres sod to Zachariah Eller, which whole tract granted by patent contains 1314 acres. Signed Richard Henderson before Josa Beall, Chrisn Lowndes, Justices ofthe Peace for Prince George's County. Receipt. Acknowledgment by grantor and Sarah wife ofRichard Henderson released dower rights. Alienation fine paid

Philip Phillips recorded lease 8 April 1769, made 20 March 1769 between Benjamin and Susannah Gatton ofFrederick Co., for and in consideration ofyearly rents and covenants hereafter mentioned, lease a tract now in occupation ofthe said Philip Phillips called Pheasants Nest, containing 100 acres more or less, to hold during the term of99 years, from 1" January last, paying yearly the sum of 500 pounds crop tobacco on 4 August yearly; and they will plant on same plantation an orchard of 100 apple trees and keep said plantation in tenantable repair.

Benjamin Gatton recorded 19 April 1769, made 7 February between Richard Henderson ofPGC, merchant, for £23 sterling, sells tract Indulgence, granted by patent, on west side ofthe west fork ofthe cabbin branch joining the said Gatton's plantation, on 3d line oftract called Edloe 's Adventure, where line crosses the Cabbin Branch, to a tract called Preston's March, containing 61 acres. Sighed Rd Henderson before J. Hepburn, Robert Peter- Receipt.
Acknowledgment by grantor, and Sarah wife ofRichard Henderson released dower- Alienation fine paid.
