      Indenture made February 2, 1775; John Lightly, baker of Frederick County, Maryland in consideration of 3 pounds current money paid by Adam Goodebarger of Frederick County, Maryland has sold of "Lot Number 173" in the town of Hamburgh having 40 feet front on persimmon Street and 230 feet back to Walnut Street. Signed John Leidy in the presence of and acknowledged before John Stull, William Baird (JP's of Frederick County, Maryland) and at the same time Susannah Leidy wife of John Leidy relinquished her right of dower
