Mary E. Gardiner, Will, December 2, 1869; April 1, 1873
I Mary E. Gardiner of CC, being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding bequeath as follows;
To my sons Thomas R. Gardiner and Albert Gardiner equally that portion of the tract I now reside on called "Three Brothers" and being northwest of the fence leading from the farm lately owned by William Cooms and now in the possession of Negro Nat Shorten to a gate on the public road from my house to "Gallant Green" and pass said gate in a direct line to its intersection with the land of Major Thomas I. Gardiner being the portion of the farm on which I now live northwest of said gate and in line with the direction of "Gallant Green"
To my daughters Beatrice Gardiner and Anna Laura Gardiner equally the homestead and all the rest and residue of the farm on which I now live; my carriage with the two horses belonging; and all the rest and residue of my household and kitchen furniture and property whatsoever.
To my son James Gardiner one bed and furniture and 1 calf now in possession of my son Joseph B. Gardiner
To my son Joseph B. Gardiner, 1 calf now in his possession
To my sons Thomas R. Gardiner and Albert Gardiner each, one cow and steer yearing and one bed and furniture.
It is my will that the crops and products of the farm the present year be used equally for the support of my children Thomas Gardiner, Albert Gardiner, Beatrice Gardiner and Anna Laura Gardiner
