      William H. McPherson, Will, March 5, 1815; June 13, 1815
      I, William H. McPherson of CC, being indisposed, but of sound mind, memory and understanding;
      To wife Elizabeth B. McPherson during her single life, the plantation whereon I now reside beginning at Mattawoman Run where the Sprat run empties itself into a ditch with a line of fence which nearly divides my dwelling plantation and the land which I purchased of William T. McPherson, thence with the line of fence by the fence where Francis Spalding resided, up to the uppermost line of "Bridewood" where Charles Thompson formerly had a gate. Also the following personal property; negroes Hannah, Delia and her three children Sam, John and Anne, Emma and her four children, Robert, Mary, Betsey & Nancy, 4 head of horses, 10 head of cattle, 15 head of sheep, 15 head of hogs, 2 bed and furniture, 1 black walnut curtain bedstead with the curtains cord & hyde, 1 black walnut bedstead with cord & hyde, 2 yarn and cotton counterpanes, 1 figured counterpane wove by Brawner, all her quilts, trunks and bandboxes which she brought with her, all my crockery ware except some old fashioned chine plates and decanters, all my kitchen furniture, 1 large square walnut dining table, 1 small square walnut dining table, all my chairs of every description, all my knives and forks and all my plantation utensils and poultry of every kind, and after her death to descend to my daughter Elizabeth Margaret Hanson McPherson.
      To son Thomas McPherson the whole of my real estate but if he should die without issue, the land to descend to my daughter Elizabeth Margaret Hanson McPherson. Also 1 horse, 1 desk, 1 Dutch case, my gun and map of the State of Maryland.
      To daughter Matilda Garner, negroes Mary, Minty and her children Letty & Eleanor, and all the stock and household furniture which I gave her heretofore.
      To daughter Elizabeth Margaret H. McPherson, negro Jacob Senior, 1 clock, 1 bed and furniture, ½ dozen silver table spoons made by Cordell, ½ dozen figured silver tea spoons, 1 silver soup ladle, 1 bedstead, cord and hyde, 1 dressing glass with drawer in it, and my small black leather trunk.
      To daughters Kitty and Margaret McPherson, all the residue of my personal property
