Charles County, Maryland Land Records 1813-1814; Liber IB-10 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 460. At the request of William Mason the following Entry of Negroes was recorded May 13, 1814
a list of one Negro slave removed from King George County, Virginia into CC by the subscriber on April 13th last, to wit, Elinor (10 yrs.) Which said Negro slave is a descendent of a Negro slave who was a resident of Virginia before April 21, 1783 and was devised to and Sarah Stuart Mason the infant daughter of the subscriber by Sarah Stuart by will bearing date November 9, 1811 reference being had to the said will recorded in King George County, Virginia will appear.
