They came to searching the kitchen, in came one of his old negro mama and said master did you give these fellows liberty to search your kitchen, he told her no and told her to order them away, she and her child was found in the kitchen loft and had a fire in an old peace of pott and after she was brought down the loft, she then immediately when into the house with Mr. Moran and after being there about ten minutes, Mr. Johnson went to the door after her to go home his daughter Rebecca Moran met him there and said to him, Mr. Johnson daddy desires of you to be gone about your business and at the same time this wrench and child was in the house with Mr. Moran, the above happened on the 24th December 1801. Signed John J. Sothoron
