      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN WOOD of the Parish of SITTING BOURNE and County of Essex together with ABIGAILL my Wife for ye sum of Ten thousand pounds of lawfull tobacco to us in hand paid by DAVID JENKINS of the sd County by these presents have granted unto ye sd DAVID JENKINS his heirs & assignes forever all that Fifty acres of Land formerly sold unto me ye sd. JOHN WOOD by the sd. DAVID JENKINS & ANN JENKINS his Wife, with all & singular its rights houses orchards woods & appurtenances belonging, all which said Land & premisses are scituate within the said Parish of SITTINGBOURNE & County of Essex, it being part of a tract of land wch: formerly belonging to Capt. WM. MOSELEY & by him sold unto TOBIAS INGRAM ye Elder and ye sd. Fifty acres thereof by TOBIAS INGRAM, Son & heir of the sd. TOBIAS ye Elder, was sold unto GEORGE WILLIAMS, then of ye County of RAPPA: by one Deed of Sale bearing date ye 21st day of November 1684 & acknowledged in the County Court of RAPPA: ye third day of December then next ensueing as by the Records doth appear & by the said GEORGE WILLIAMS bequeathed unto his then Wife, ANN WILLIAMS, now ANN JENKINS, ye Wife of DAVID JENKINS, & her heirs in his last Will and Testamt., and by the sd. ANN WILLIAMS now ANN JENKINS together with her said Husband, DAVID JENKINS, sold unto me the said JOHN WOOD & my heirs & assignes by one Deed of Sale bearing date ye 9th day of September in ye eighth year of his Mats. Reign 1696; the said Fifty acres of Land being bounded as followeth; begining at a corner tree thereof by a Branch that cometh out of OCCUPACIA CREEK & runing along the line of ye Land of JNO: COOK for breadth & for length into the Woods according to ye bounds set down in ye abovesd. Deed of Sale of TOBIAS INGRAM; To have & to hold ye abovesd. land and pre- misses unto ye sd DAVID JENKINS his heirs & assignes & further we the said JOHN WOOD & ABIGAILL my Wife the said Land will warrant& defend against ye said JOHN WOOD & ABIGAILL WOOD our heirs & assigns and all other persons lawfully claiming under

      TO ALL TO WHOM these pr:sents shall come I JOHN WOOD of ye Parish of Sittenborne in ye County of Essex within ye Colony of Virginia, Planter, send greeting Now Know ye that I ye sd. JOHN WOOD as well for ye good will love & affection wch: I have unto my loveing Grandchild, JNO: WOOD, Sonne of HENRY WOOD deced, as alsoe for divers other considerations hath given unto him ye sd JNO: WOOD all that parcell of land being in ye Parish & County aforesd. containing One hundred & seventy acres wch: sd. tract of land I purchased of ROBERT & THOMAS MOSS as by Assignment of a Deed of Sale bearing date ye 11th day of July 1674; And also twenty & nine acres of land more granted to me by Patent bearing date ye 3d day of Octobr: 1690, adjoyning to ye aforesd. One hundred & seventy acres wch: sd. Conveyance & Patten together containes One hundred Ninety & nine acres bounded as will appear by ye aforesd. Conveyance & Patent relation being had together wth: all appurtenances & alsoe all ye Estate, tight to ye same which sd tracts or parcells of land are now in ye occupation of CASANDER WOOD, Widow, and Mother of ye sd JOHN WOOD, To have & to hold ye sd parcells of land wth: all houses orchards gardens & other ye premisses unto ye sd JNO. WOOD & ye heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten for ever And if it soe happen ye sd JNO. WOOD dye without issue then I give ye aforesd. land to his Brother, HENRY WOOD, & his heirs lawfully to be begotten forever & if ye sd HENRY should dye without such lawful! heir then to ELIZ: WOOD, Sister of ye sd JOHN & HENRY WOOD and her heirs lawfully begotten for ever, And if it happen that ye sd ELIZ: WOOD should dye without such lawfull heir as aforesd. then after ye decease of CASANDER WOOD (Mother of ye aforesd, JOHN, HENRY & ELIZA ) 1 give ye aforesd. land unto my Sonne, THOMAS WOOD, & his heirs lawfully to be begotten And ye said JNO: WOOD for himselfe and his heirs ye sd parcel! of land hereby granted & sold wth: the appurtenances unto ye sd JNO: WOOD his heirs & assignes and ye heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten forever against him ye sd JNO: WOOD and all other p:sons wt:soever claiming under him In Wiliness whereof ye sd JOHN WOOD, Grand Father of ye above named JOHN, HENRY &ELIZABETH WOOD, hath hereunto sett his hand and affixed his seale ye 10th day of May 1700
