      THIS INDENTURE made the 27th day and 28th day of October in the twenty fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Fifty One Between SUSANAH SMITHER of the Parish of St. Marks in the County of CAROLINE & JOHN SMITHER of the Parish of St. Marys in County of CULPEPER of one part and RICHARD BLACKBURN Gent. of the Parish of Detten gen in County of Prince William of the other part Witnesseth that said SUSANNA SMITHER and JOHN SMITHER for the sum of Nineteen pounds Ten shillings Currt. money of Virg& have sold unto said RICHARD BLACKBURN in his actual possession now being by virtue of Bargain and Sale for one year and by force of the statute for the transferring uses into possession and to his heirs & assigns forever all their whole right that they have or may have in a tract of land in the Countys of Prince William and FAIRFAX containing Six hundred acres. Also the reversions they or either of them may have in the same being on each side of the River of OCCOQUAN which said land was taken up and PATENTED by ROBERT SINGLETON of the County of GLOUCESTER by Deed from the PROPRIETORS OFFICE dated the Fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign LADY ANN and by said ROBERT SINGLETON bequeathed by his Last Will & Testament to his Daughter SUSANNA first party to these presents and all houses and appurtenances whatsoever belonging To Have and To Hold the said lands unto the said RICHARD BLACKBURN his heirs & assigns forever. In Witness whereof they the said SUSANNA SMITHER and JOHN SMITHER have s their hands and seals
