      Montgomery County Land Records, 1777-1781; Liber A1, Page 371. May 14, 1779 from John Swan of Frederick County, Gentleman, to William Allein of Calvert County, Gent, for 2000 , part of a tract of land originally granted to the sd John Swan on about Dec 26, 1775, by the name of the Discovery, lying in M. The part hereby conveyed, being the 1st part of sd tract, is bounded by a tract of land called the Resurvey on Wild Cat spring, resurveyed for William Cecil on Jan 20, 1762, containing about 484 acres, agreeable to the original grant. Signed - Jno Swan. Wit - Chris Edelen, Philip Thomas. This deed was ack. in Frederick County by sd John Swan. Wm. Ritchie, Frederick County Clk, certified that Christopher Edelen and Philip Thomas, Esgs, are Frederick County Justices. Recorded Nov 1, 1779.
