Indenture made December 2, 1802; Zephaniah Farrand in consideration of 145 pounds 12 shillings paid by Thomas Waters has sold two tracts, part of "Farrand's Fortune" and "Dispute" containing 56 acres 1 rod and 25 perches and binding on a division boundary between Zephaniah Farrand and John Moran of Gabriel, "Loving Brothers", a division boundary between William Farrand and Zephaniah Farrand. Indenture made December 14, 1813; between Ann Moran, Patrick Dixon and Henrietta Dixon his wife of the one part and Henry S. Yates of the other part. Witnesseth whereas Thomas Dixon late of CC deceased died intestate and Margery Dixon his widow became administratrix and Henry S. Yates is bound as one of her securities for the administration and whereas Ann Moran, Patrick Dixon and Henrietta Dixon have agreed to indemnify Henry S. Yates for any damages. Now this indenture witnesseth that in consideration of the premises and the sum of $5 current money of United States Ann Moran, Patrick Dixon and Henrietta Dixon have sold unto Henry S. Yates parts of tracts now in their possession which John P. Moran died seized of for the uses trusts and purposes following, that is to say to secure and identify Henry S. Yates against any bonds entered unto by him on behalf of Margery Dixon and all costs charges and fees to counsel and expenses incurred and paid in virtue of this deed of trust.
