      In Obedience to an order of Culpeper County bearing date the 21st day of October 1768
      We the Subscribers did go to the late dwelling house of JOHN HACKLEY decd and appraised
      and divided the slaves of the said Decedents Estate according to the Will of the said John Hackley as followeth (14 negroes are listed by name with appraised value to total 635.0. 0).
      To amount of the Negroes to be divided into nine parts .. 70..1 1..1 each childs part, and the four oldest daughters of the said Hackley decd being of age who is intermarried with PETER TALIAFERRO RICHARD HACKLEY, SAMUEL REEDS & JAMES JAMESON, declared on receiving their parts of the Negros as below as fully sat isfy'd of all claim or right to their said Fathers Estate ..
