      I, Walter Johnson of CC being very weak and low in body but of sound mind and memory
      To wife Elizabeth Johnson, all my estate as it now stands during her single life and if she should remarry or die, I give to my son George Johnson negro Philip and my black horse or a horse to the same value.
      To daughter Jane Johnson, negro Abraham at the death or marriage of my wife.
      To daughter Elizabeth Johnson, negro Ann at the death or marriage of my wife.
      To son Walter Johnson, negro Isaac at the death or marriage of my wife. Also three years schooling.

Apr 12, 1782 from Walter Johnson of Fairfax County, Virginia, eldest son and heir at law of Ann Johnson, late of sd County, decd, to Thomas Crackells of CC. Whereas a claim has been set up by Ann Johnson, late mother of the sd Walter Johnson, and Thomas Johnson, her husband, and Thomas Hopewell and Thomas Reeder of CC, set up and pretend a claim to lot #74 in the Town of Port Tobacco or Charles Town in CC, now and for a considerable time past, in the possession and tenure of sd Thomas Crackles under color of a fraudulent and pretended conveyance from sd Thomas Johnson and Ann Johnson, and the sd Walter Johnson, knowing that the property of the sd lot belongs to sd Crackles and that, in justice, it ought not to be taken from him, and the sd Walter Johnson being willing and wanting to do everything that may be legally done to secure sd lot to sd Crackles, now this deed witnesses that the sd Walter Johnson, for 5 , sells to sd Thomas Crackles, the afd lot, whereon sd Crackles ngw lives. Apr 12, 1782 from Walter Johnson of Fairfax County, Virginia, eldest son and heir at law of Ann Johnson, late of sd County, decd, to Walter Hanson Jenifer of CC_ [See Charles County Land Records 1775-1782; Liber V#3; Page 610 for background]. Herein conveyed is lot #60, now and for a considerable time past, in the possession and occupation of the sd Walter Hanson Jenifer under color of a fraudulent and pretended conveyance from sd Thomas Johnson and Ann Johnson, and sd Walter Johnson, for the sake of justice, [see Charles County Land Records 1775-1782; Liber V#3; Page 610]. Now this deed witnesses that the sd Walter Johnson, for 5 sells to sd Walter Hanson Jenifer, the afd, lot in Port Tobacco in CC, whereon William Cox, saddler, nw dwells. I, Archibald Johnson Jr of CC, for 65 , have sold to Walter Johnson of CC, a Negro woman named Charity, and her 2 children, Richard and Sarah, and a Negro boy named Abraham.       Charles County Land Records 1792-1796; Liber N#4; Page 194. Deed of Trust. Jan 7, 1794 from Hezekiah Johnson and Walter Johnson, both of CC, to John Chapman and Matthew Blair, both of CC. Archibald Johnson of CC owes the State of Maryland 26 18 shillings and 9 pence, or thereabouts, for which sd John Chapman is responsible. Sd Archibald owes Charles Gardiner of CC about 8 , for which sd Charles has a mortgage on Negro Jack, the property of sd Archibald. Sd Hezekiah and Walter owe sd John Chapman 49 1 shilling and 8 pence 1 farthing, by bond dated today, and carrying interest until paid. Sd Hezekiah and Walter owe Messrs Findlay, Hopkirks and company 82 14 shillings and 10 pence, by bond dated today and carrying interest until paid. Now this deed witnesses that sd Hezekiah and Walter, for 10 shillings to them in hand paid by sd John and Matthew and for the payment of the afd debts, sd Hezekiah & walter have sold to sd John and Matthew, the following Negroes, stock, and chattels, to wit, Jack, Mary, Sarah, and Anne, her child, Charity and her 2 children; 1 yoke of oxen, a cart, a desk, 4 old hoes, 1 gray mare and colt, 3 cows, 3 yearlings, 2 calves, and 10 barrels of Indian corn. This deed is in trust for the following purposes, that is to say, firstly, to pay afd John and Matthew the costs for executing this trust, and secondly, to pay John and Matthew their respective claims, namely, to John, 26 18 shillings and 9 pence, and about 8 due to sd Charles Gardner for which he has a mortgage on Negro Jack herein conveyed, and 49 1 shilling and 8 pence 1 farthing, and to sd Matthew 82 14 shillings & 10 pence (it the property herein conveyed is not sufficient to discharge all the afd debts, then sd John and Matthew shall be paid, each in proportion to his claim), and thirdly, to return to sd Hezekiah and Walter, any remaining property, Hezekiah and Walter hereby appoint John and Matthew, to sell sd Negroes, stock, and chattels.
