      William Rhody Luckett's Will. Feb 9, 1779.
      being of sound of mind and memory.
      To my daughter Elenor Lucket - 50 "common passing money in law - of part of a Negro woman" that I sold, called Henny. If my daughter Eleanor should refuse taking sd 50 for her part of sd Negro, then the money to be put in the balance of my estate.
      To my son Joseph Luckett - one tract of land called May Day, containing 200 acres. Also my gun and accoutrements thereto belonging.
      To my daughter Henritta Lucket - 50 "common passing money in law of part of a Negro woman that I sold", called Henny. But if Henritta should refuse taking the 50 for her part of sd Negro, then the money to be put into the balance of my estate.
      To Thomas Hussy Lucket - land called Heater, containing 5 acres. Also 1 Negro woman named Clare and her child not yet named,
      To my son William Rhody Lucket - 20 .
      To my wife - I want my just debts paid and my wife to take her thirds.
      Then, the residue of my estate not yet devised, to be sold to the highest bidder and the money to be equally divided between my three children, Joseph Lucket, Thomas Hussa Lucket, and Mary Ann Lucket. I want my executrix to pay and deliver to my sd three children, as they come to age, their shares of my estate. I hereby order my executrix to pay and deliver to my other three children, Elinor Lucket, Henritta Lucket, and. William Rhody Lucket, as they come to age, their legacies is that I have already bequeathed to them. Executrix: my wife Sarah Lucket,

      On Feb 9, 1779, Letters Testamentary were granted on the will of William Rhody Luckett, to Sarah Luckett, his executrix. Securities = John Clements of Jacob and Leonard Hambleton, of CC, pond = 5000 Appraisers: Samuel Hanson and Archibald Johnson. {Vide folio 332, 3, & 4 for the Invy}. [The inventory was returned, amounting to] 608 6 shillings 6 pence.

      William Rhody Luckett's Inventory. May 8, 1779. An inventory of the goods and chattels of William Rhody Luckett, late of CC, deceased, taken and appraised by us on Feb 23, 1779.
      Includes: Negro man Charles, about 50 years old; Negro woman Fanny, about 60 years old; Negro Sisly, 35; Negro Cloe, about 17 years old and young child; Negro Clare, 17 and young child; Negro Lucy, about 14 years old; 15 cattle, 3 hogs, 7 sheep, 2 horses; 1 old oval table of black walnut, one mahogany desk, one old cradle, one very old feather bed and a pair of old sheets and old counterpins bedstead and cord, ditto with a pair of old blankets bedstead and cord, ditto small without covering with bedstead and cord; 50 lbs bacon 7 yards futtd(?) cloth, 1 hand mill. Total: 608 6 shillings 6 pence. Signed Feb 23, 1779 - Saml Hanson Jr, Arch'd Johnson.
