      Page 157 Court held 12th August 1691
      128. Whereas ANNE TATTERSHALL late servant to ELIZABETH MINTHORNE the widow
      and relict of RICHARD MINTHORNE late of this County deced made humble petition to this Court that whereas she had fully Truely and faithfully served her full time with her mistresse the said Elizabeth Minthorne and that she had turned her out of doors and had set her at full liberty but did refuse to pay her Corn and Cloths according to Law and forasmuch as Elizabeth Minthorne was not at this Court and soe not able to answer the complaint Therefore tis ordered that the cause shall he referred to the next Court and that the sheriff shall summon Elizabeth Minthorne to the next Court where if she shall faile to appear that then Judgment shall passe against her for the Servants Corn and Clothes as the Law directs also it is further ordered that any person or persons shall harbour or Entertain Anne Tattershall in the Interval of time between this and next Court that he or they shall be Lyable or obnoxious to any Trouble charge Lawsuit or damage for soe doing. JOHN HARPER and THOMAS PEARSON did come into open Court and did faithfully assume to be security with MATTHEW MOOTE and did promise to Enter into Bond with Matthew Moote to the upper parish of this County to save the parish harmless from any charge Trouble or damage that may come upon them for and towards the maintenanoe of a bastard child got by Matthew Moote upon the body of Anne. Tattershall in the Service of Mrs. Elizabeth Minthorne of this County.
