      Note: How sure are you that this William Young, who died in 1699 is the son of Vincent Young? I know Vincent did have a son named William, but there were also other Youngs in Stafford and Essex Counties. Several sites show this William Young's son to be John Young who married Christian Bruce, yet John and Christian did not name any of their children "Vincent". This would have really gone against tradition, unless Vincent was not his grandfather. Researching the Young's now for about 2 years, I am inclined to think that Vincent Young could have been the brother of William Young who died in Essex in 1697. Do you have any thoughts about these Young's who lived in Stafford and Essex in the mid to late 1600's?

      I give and bequeath to my two sons WM. YOUNG and JOHN YOUNG my plantation and the land belonging thereto whereon I now live to be equally divided between them Wm. Young having the first choice .. if it he a son my wife MARY YOUNG now goes with that if it lives to be the age of one and twenty years to have equal part of the land Wm. YOUNG the oldest son of Mr. VINCENT YOUNG late of this County deced and appointed one of the Executors of the afsd Vincent Young appointed in his last will & Testament came into Court in propria persona and relinquished his part of the Executorship of the said Will. Probate of last will & Testament of Vincent Young late of this County deced is granted to ELIZABETH the wife of Vincent Young she having fully proved the same by the Oaths and Testimonies of JAMES NELSON and JOHN PORTER Witnesses to the afsd Will thereunto subscribed she giving Security to perform what the Law requires touching her said Husbands Estate.
