      PHILIP ALEXANDER of Fairfax County do make this my last will Imprimis
      I appoint my wife Executrix.
      I give unto my son PHILIP & his heirs forever the Island & the Plantation whereon I live as far as the road that
      goes to Alexandria from George Town also a equal part of my personal Estate as to the residue of my Estate now in possession & what I am entitled to under my Brother GEORGE'S Will, together with one half of the land con-
      tained in a warrant to ROBERT ALEXANDER which warrant was granted to R. Alexander (the sd George Alexander's Will not being proved which make me an equal devisee) I desire that it may be equally divided between my other three sons to wit GEORGE, GERARD & AUSTIN .. Also my will and desire is that if my son Philip dies under age & without issue that then his part go to George .. the said George forfeiting his above said equal part to his younger brothers and in case George should die his part got by his Brother Philip's death shall go to Gerrard .. Gerrard forfeiting all in the like manner to Austin the said Austin to possess all my Estate except what was left to Philip. Also my will and desire is that if either of my three younger sons, George, Gerrard or Austin should die before twenty one years or without issue that the part of the person dying shall be equally divided between them & their heirs Philip to have none but what is already given except all the younger children die
      Signed and sealed this 10 day of May 1785.

      At Court held 17th May 1790 This Will was presented by oath of DENNIS RAMSAY and BALDWIN DADE to be wrote by the Testator himself is admitted to record and on the motion of W. WASHINGTON he having performed what is usual in such cases certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration with the will annexed ..

      Know all men .. that we WILLIAM ALEXANDER and NICHOLAS FITZHUGH are held and firmly bound to CHARLES BROADWATER, THOMAS POLLARD, WILLIAM HERBERT & ROGER WEST Justices of the Court of Fairfax County now sitting in sum three thousand pounds .. dated the ( ) day of May 1790.
      The Condition .. is such that if W. ALEXANDER admor with the will annexed of PHILIP ALEXANDER decd do make a true and perfect inventory of all the goods chattels and credits of the said Deceased .. and the same so made do exhibit in the County Court of Fairfax .. make a just and true account of his Actings and doings .. and do well and truly pay and deliver all the legacies specified in the said Will .. then this obligation to be void ..
